Greetings again Marquita, You are being very wise in recognizing Satan for what he is - a liar. He indeed will use any scheme or trickery in the book to try and get you to rationalize that you are not sinning. You said that you feel as though you are happy where you are at, and I applaud you for realizing that this is Satan making you think this. God will give you the strength that you need to get away from this lifestyle. Pray hard for that strength Marquita. You can and must resist acting upon the desires to remain in this lifestyle. Consciously avoid places or activities you know will kindle your temptations. This includes breaking the relationship you are in now and putting and keeping a good distance from this person. Never ever under estimate the power of Satan. Get involved in a church that is bible based and knows homosexuality is a sin. Find a professional Christian counselor or pastorial counselor that you can receive help from. What you are in is a type of addiction and you need counseling to break free of this addiction. Continuse to remain scared of Satan. It can be a driving force. I don't know if it will help you or not but I read a book once and whenever I start to sin by telling a little lie or getting back more that I should by a cashier it comes to mind and I easily have the strength to say no to Satan. For me it was a "scared straight" book. The book is called "A Divine Revelation of Hell". If you are interested in it I am sure you can get it from any Christian bookstore. Again my prayers are with you in your battle. You can also e me at my email address that is listed in my profile if you would like. prayon |

785 | desipel dont recognice JESUS ,before af | Luke 24:36 | prayon | 41255
Greetings true believer, They didn't believe because they were not expecting it. Although Jesus had repeatedly told His disciples that He ould rise again after 3 days, the disciples either gave His words a symbolic meaning or completely rejected them as something impossible to understand. Never had it occured to them to find any such prophecy in the Old Testament. John says in John 20:9 that they still did not understand from scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead. The disciples thought that Jesus was the one who would redeem Isreal, but not by dying. They believed that He would miraculously overturn all opposition and display His divine power to the world by claiming the throne of His ancestor King David and reigning from Jerusalem over an Israel freed from Roman rule and regenerated to serve God. They had believed in Him, they had left all to follow Him. But now He was gone. The crucifixion seemed a cruel disillusionment. They were perplexed and confused. That is why when He appeared to them after He rose from the dead they did not realize it was Him. prayon |

786 | Prov 3:5-6; Col 2:6; Rom 8:28 | Bible general Archive 1 | prayon | 41253
Greetings Dave, The first way we will learn to grow is by prayer. We ask Him to give us knowledge and wisdom of His word. When you ask you shall receive. Another is by reading and studying His word. Attend bible studies. Talk with someone who is knowledgable in whatever area you are trying to learn more about. We can also learn to grow by following the nudgings of the Holy Spirit which is within us. He will direct and lead is where God wants us to go if we listen. We can never reach the end of our search for knowledge, it is a constant learning process. May God bless you in your search for knowledge! prayon |

789 | Are gays/lesbians bound for hell? | Rom 5:8 | prayon | 41233
Greetings Marquita, Homosexuality is considered and acceptable practice by many in our worlk today - even by some churches. But society does not set the standard for God's law. Many homosexuals believe that their desires are normal and they have a right to express them but I refer you to the verses below: 1Cor 6:9,10: Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders not thieves not the greedy not drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Lev 18:22: Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Lev 20:13: If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Rom 1:26-28: For this God gave them up to degrading passions, Their woman exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women were consumed with passion for one another....And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done. God's plan for natural sexual relationshops is His ideal for His creation. Unfortunately, sin distorts the natural use of God's gifts. Sin means not only denying God, but also denying the way we are made. Homosexuality is strictly forbidden in scripture (see above scriptures). However, the good news is that God is willing to receive anyone who comes to Him in faith. God can and will forgive sexual sins just as He forgives any other sin. But when we come to Him we must put away our former ways and walk in His ways. I know I am being blunt and may sound uncaring or condescending but I do not mean to. You are a sister in Christ and with that comes my love in Christ. But I feel that a issue is either black or white. There is no gray area. Suppose that a murderer or a thief or a liar, or a swindler or a slanderer believed in God and studied His word religiously and went to church each week but still continued to murder or swindle, or steal, or lie, or slander: do you believe that he should or will inherit the kingdom of God? Luke 13:24-27 tell us that the door to heaven is narrow. It also tells us that Many will cry "Lord, open the door" and you will say 'But we ate and drank with you' and He will reply, 'I tell you, I do not know you. Go away, all you who do evil.' In your question you stated that you were concerned. I believe this to be the Holy Spirit at work in you convicting you of your lifestyle. Please let your prayers be that God show you the truth Himself and that He lead you to the place that He wants you to be at. You will be in my prayers. prayon |

790 | Is the Holy Ghost still given? | Acts 2:38 | prayon | 41219
Greetings ghbj, Yes, people still receive the Holy Ghost today. He comes upon you when you are baptized (see Acts 2:38). Jesus tells us in John 14:26 that the Father will send us the Holy Ghost and He shall teach us all things. Acts 10:34 tells us that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on Gentiles for they were heard to speak in tongues, which is a well known gift that some are still anointed with today. Today the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but still today the kingdom is righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost (Rom 14:17). Our bodies today are still the temple of the Holy Ghost (1Cor 6:19). The Holy Ghost still dwells in us today (2Tim 1:14). Hope this helps. prayon |

791 | WAS JESUS FORSAKEN BY HIS FATHER? | Matt 27:46 | prayon | 41039
Greetings Ed, You have made some good points. At the moment when the sin of the world was laid upon Jesus spiritual fellowship with the Father and the Holy Spirit was broken. "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf" (2Cor 5:21). Where ever there is sin there is seperation from the Father. He had to of been seperated from the Father in some manner. How could one be in sin and still be one with God? I agree Jesus never acted in sin but He bore our sins. Sin is seperation from God. Our sins seperate us from God therefore when He took our sins (or 'seperateness' from God) He had to feel the same 'seperateness'. Maybe this is another one of those "ohhhhh soooo" questions. prayon |

Greetings charlottetu, 1. Most assuredly I am a committed Christian 2. I became a true Christian at the age of 30. I communicate by praying, praising, worshiping, listening and reading His word. I also believe that God will communicate with you through other Christians. 6. I do my best to go one or more times a week. 7. I believe in the one true and living God, and that Jesus Christ died for my sins and on the 3rd day He rose. 8. I have eternal salvation and a peace and joy in my heart that can only come from knowing God. 9. It means to be a student and a follower. 10. Yes, I am both a student who is ever learning and a follower of Jesus Christ. 11. Yes, I believe that when you encourage or enable someone to do things that are sinful then you are going against Christianity. I did both of these before I became a true Christian. 12. There are too many things to list that I wouldn't do anymore. In short I can say that I try not to do anything that goes against the teachings of the bible, although I do sin just as any other human being sins. Your welcome, prayon |

795 | WAS JESUS FORSAKEN BY HIS FATHER? | Matt 27:46 | prayon | 41025
Greetings Searcher, Yes, in a sense God did forsake Him. When the sins of the world were laid upon Him during the hours of darkness He was alienated from God, just as sin in our lives alienates us from God. God saves us from our sin when we call on Him to do so. Jesus suffered in silence, bearing the weight Himself. He did not call out to Him until the cry in verse 46. Once He made that cry the Father came to Him and took away His burden. prayon
796 | What's the importance of Old Testament? | Gal 3:24 | prayon | 40942
Jclt2, I would like to add that in order to understand why things were like they were in the New Testament you must have a knowledge of the Old Testament. For example, why was Christ crucified, why must there be a blood sacrifice? Why certain things were as they were have their roots in the Old Testament. prayon |

797 | please explain Mathew 21:28-32. | Matthew | prayon | 40938
Greetings, The parable represents many self-righteous, even religious people who today join churches and call themselves Christians, but who in truth refuse to obey God. They refuse to believe in Jesus, to follow Christ's leading, and they refuse to take up His cross to live a life of complete identification with Him. In the end they may find that complete gross sinners, such as the prostitutes and the tax collectors, who have humbly repented and received Christ, are accepted, whereas the self-righteous, who have lived outwardly moral lives are excluded because they basically refused obedience to God's conditions for salvation as revealed through Christ. prayon
798 | WAS JESUS FORSAKEN BY HIS FATHER? | Matt 27:46 | prayon | 40935
Greetings, The cry "why have you forsaken me" was a cry of anguish, a cry of desperate need, and a cry for help. It was a cry of prophecy as well as a cry of immovable faith. "My God" proclaimed faith in His eternal relationship to God. For three hours before His cry Jesus suffered in silence the judgement of God upon our sins. The literal darkness represented the spiritual darkness against which He battled. God immediately answered His cry by removing the darkness which symbolized God's full acceptance of the sacrifice. prayon |

800 | Differences between intuition or psyhics | Deut 18:10 | prayon | 40321
Greetings, Psychics, witches, and soothsayers are among those who Moses warns us about in Deut 18:9-14 as being a unholy practices. We are to stay away from such things. Lev 19:31 tells us that if we rely on psychics and mediums we will be difiled by them. Lev 20:6 tell us that if we rely on them God will cut us off from him and in verse 27 He tells us that in the OT if we were to act as one we were to stoned. I believe that sometimes what we call a women's intuition is really that small, still voice of God. As to how they tie in psychics and soothsayers are one in the same. Sorry I can't help you with the bond between twins. prayon
