1 | people take root not (GOD WORD | Matt 13:24 | mimild | 66014
Hi God's word is suppose to take root in us. In the parable about the sower (Mat 13:3-8) it states the the Word was not rooted the birds ate them, the sun burned the up, and the thorns grew up and choked them out. But the Word that was rooted yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.By the Word being rooted in us gives us security in the Word and He that gave it, for if we were the one doing the rooting, would we need Christ as our anchor or would we be the anchor, it would imply that we are the one doing the securing, and you know how fickled we can be. We are not the foundation, the Word of God is which is Christ is. For God's Word is His Word weather we feel it or not. |

3 | What is the account we will give? | Rom 14:12 | mimild | 20291
Well we must not try and take one line of scriputer out and try to analyze it alone. It must be taken in context with the rest of the text. Paul was speaking of the Christians concerning judging and or condeming one another for their belief in what is clean or unclean. For this we will have to give an answer to the Lord, for if we love someone and he beleaves that a certain thing dishonors God, how can we judge him. As Paul also states in the save chapter of Rom in verses 2-4 2 One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. 3 The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. 4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. God would want to know how you and I condemned someone who is not ours to condemn for this we will have to give an account of ourselves for. |

4 | Speaking in tongues? | 1 Corinthians | mimild | 20299
Read 1 Corinthians 12 and you might get a better answer than I or maybe anyone else can give you. But this is my belief for what it's worth. God gives each of us different gifts as He sees fit. When we accept Christ as our Savior we are at that time filled with the Spirit of Christ. Who among us has a Spiritual meter that states how filled of the Sirit we or someone else is. We are given these gifts not to show off, but to edify each other. Look at the following scriptures, but read all of chapter 12 of 1 corinthains and you talk to God about. 1 Cor 12:28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. 1 Cor 12:29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? 1 Cor 12:30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? 1 Cor 12:31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way. |

5 | Faith and facts | Heb 11:3 | mimild | 20288
If faith is fantasy than we all are living in a fantasy land, for even non beleavers beleave in fate (and what is that), hope or some other non tanable thing. But we as Christians beleave and have our faith and hope in a true and living God. wouldn't the sciptures suport this and isn't that is why Paul states in 2 Cor 5:7 "for we walk by faith, not by sight" being blindly lead by what ever whim that comes along. If science was a complete fact than scientist would have to admit that the facts of the bible would have to become a part of this completness and the changes that they would have to admit to would leave out most of their theories". |
