dear actingqueen ... I share with many others my deepest sympathy. I hope you are recovering from this assult. Please read my reply carefully, as I do not wish to offend you, but you are probably not anticipating the answer I am going to give you. The Bible gives secific reasons for allowind a divorce and sexual abuse is not one of them. When a man and woman unite and become one flesh they also in many ways function as one unit or circle. Now, depending on your age, children, and other family influences, ... there are other people's lives that also depend on this circle not to be broken. Now, here is the hardest part .... even though he intruded your body, forgive him. Even though he had no reguard for respecting your rights, forgive him. Even though he violated your trust, forgive him. Try to put a greater importance on the assult of a failed marrige, than the assult of your broken heart. I know that sounds almost demeaning, but think of it as "carrying your cross". Remember Jesus gave us a new command and it's all about Love, Love that covers a multitude of sins. We can only be forgiven by the measure with which we can forgive. You see once I did something very sinful, yet Jesus came to forgive me because he Loves me. So being forgiven has made me a new man. Isn't that what you wish you could have ... a good relationship, but not with someone who could do what he did to you? If you don't forgive that makes him a rapist. If you can forgive ... then the offense no longer exist, so now you can have your husband back and him not be a rapist. well, it's worth considering, because this is what Jesus taught us to do. I pray for your healing to be soon. Your brother in Christ, JKW |

42 | Discovering the will of God | Eph 2:10 | lookN4luv | 129033
Hi, 1949 ... you sure started off with one of those seemingly imposible to answer questions. What I mean is this ... if everyone's relationship with God the Father is unique and personal ... then how can anyone tell you what is the right way for you? right... WRONG!!! This is a common misconception that can blind us from the Truth ... God's Word. ref. John 1:1 Our Holy, and Gracious Father, God, has much to say to those who seek Him. That is why He laid it upon the hearts of men to share His Word by telling and writting the Holy scriptures as God revealed it to them. In this way God still speaks to us, through His Word. I believe God speaks to us though His Holy Word ... the Bible. If we use Scripture in our prayers, then the Scriptures will also speak back to us and reveal Truth and Light exactly as the Holy Spirit guides... and with His Word God does give us a specific direstion. As far as seeking the will of God in this or that ...it is very important to look into the Word of God (the Truth) when we are anticipating a change or new direction, ... relationships ... career ... finances ... worship ... parenting ...responsabilities ... Think about this ... there are many terrible places to be ... Iraq ... prision ... the grave ... poverty ... but the worst place anyone could ever be is ... outside of the will of God !!! As far as saying you don't believe you have ever had this kind of communication from God ... well think again ... Wasn't it His Holy Spirit that gave you this conviction and made your heart long for a closer relationship with Him? Nobody seeks an answer to a question like this one just because they were bored ... it is the awesome Power of God's Holy Spirit at work within your heart. Proverbs says "Seek Him while He is near". Yes he does have a particular intent for your life but, it is my belief that this is not something we have to " somehow discover" it is already mapped out in His Word. And it is the same intent He has for all of the family of believers. Honor God the Father ... when you know what is right, turn from what is wrong. ...do your best to live a life that does not go outside the boundries God has established in His Word. Be forgiving ... we are only forgiven by the same measure by which we can forgive others. In this way we become "Christ-like" because Jesus (the Christ\Savior) came to be the example of our salvation. It is'nt meant for us to seek some particular life-course or unique calling. There is no puzzle to piece together. If we are blessed, what more could we want or need ? I hope this makes some sense to you and helps you see more clearly. God's blessings be upon you and your families. lookN4luv |

Very Well Said, brother. I personally believe people should get away from the " Hollywood" image of a personified God. and channel their thoughts and prayers to the Holy Spirit of our Divine Creator. Be still in His presence and wait. lookN4luv
