Hello brother,if it's sister no insult intended. I will presume you are refering to the verses that are printed in red in the Gospels. If not please set me straight. Back when I was a kid we had no red letter addition bibles. It was all black letters. It's my impression that when they started printing the red letter edititon bibles it was to identify the words spoke by Jesus. The gospels do teach that we are saved by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 7:13,14 I believe while it speaks of those who are saved out of the great tribulation,it talks about also the cleansing power of His blood. 1 Jn 1:7,9 When I read these verses I like to think,it keeps on cleansing. What Jesus did was a one time thing. He died for every sin I've ever commmitted and ever will commit. Therfore the phrase it keeps on cleansing. ICor 1:18 tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved and to those being saved its the power of God.Thats huge! Check out 1 Cor 2:14. You can see these things because you are a born again son of God and it is(Col 1:27) Christ in you. When I think about that it Absolutly blows me away. My friend we are able to the things of God because we are his sons. Whether the words Jesus spoke in the gospels are printed in red or black they dont add or take anything away from what we read in Rev 7:13,14. If it helps to keep you closer to God and make you stronger outstanding. Make sure you understand 2 Peter 1:21,22 and your doing 2 Timothy 2:15. Doc, Kalos,Ray, help me out here if I'm missing something here. I dont wanna be pushing anyone away or confuse them. tduplechain Godbless you. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

Goodmorning my brother. I've been following this thread almost from the beginning and there seems to be some confusion or intractability on the part of the originator. I will be perfectly clear from the get go here, this is not intended as an attack on anyone. I have a few scriptures that I pray will add some clarity to the situation. 2 Timothy 3:15,16 All scripture is God breathed, all scripture is profitable(Quote). From Gen 1:1 to Rev 22:21 It's all God breathed it's all profitable. Ro 15:4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perserverance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. "nothing else comes close" interesting but not beneficial. To elevate one part of the Word and discount another is a disservice to God and we endanger ourselves. 2 Pt 1:20 let Gods Word speak for itself. It works. I pray that this is of benifit to anyone struggling with this situation. Always your brother lionheart |

tduplechain, I want to take time here to encourage you, brother the past few days you've probably had a lot put on your plate. Understand this,no one here at the forum is out to crucify you. None of us would be here today if not for what Jesus Christ did for every last one of us. If you had known me 8 years ago I was one of the most diabolical individuals you would never want to meet. So for me to say I wouldnt be here if not for Jesus Christ is a vast understatement. I'd be dead.Read 1 Timothy 6:13-16. We cant do this though if we're not doing 2 Timothy 2:15. We dont need to put our own twists on anything.Gods Word does fine on its own. 2Peter 1:20. Romans 15:4- All of Gods Word start to finish is to instruct us and encourage us. When we dont honor Gods Word in its entirety we do God we and ourselves great disservice. God knows your heart and he loves you and you know what,we gotta be loving each other too. Your brother in Christ, lionheart |

Dear brother,it's not timothy, peter,or paul I'm sending you to, it's the Word of God,and the Word is what points us to Jesus, without it we wouldnt know anything about Jesus Christ or Holy Spirit.Check out Romans 10:17. My brother I didnt say you were twisted, what I did say though was that when we (meaning all of us) put our twist on thing we do both ouselves and God great disservice. Read my profile you'll see I'm not spewing a bunch of garbage here. I know Jesus if not I wouldnt even be here to have this discussion with you,I would be 6 feet under. I'm with you not against you, lionheart |

OK my brother, Show us chapter and verse that red writting carries more weight than the rest of bible and I'll buy in to what your saying. Show me scripture that says so and you will have me convinced. My brother the whole bible comes from God. Whether it's written in red letters or black does not reduce or lower the validity of any of Gods Word. lionheart |

B Michalcik, Sometimes we all say things we don't mean to say or we come across in a way we shouldn't. This is a good place with allot of good folks. Please don't judge the whole based on the part. I would be more than happy to see you back. You are always welcome here. In Him, lionheart |

1692 | John 10:10 Who is responsible for death? | Rev 1:18 | lionheart | 236815
B Michalcik, Death was never God's plan for us. Our sin put that in the equation. The death of millions wasn't God's will. It was the result of mans sin. The greater works described in Jn 14:12 refer to leading people to Christ. Hope this helps. In Him, lionheart |

1694 | Can we afford to be neutral? | Rev 3:16 | lionheart | 140476
We live in a time now more than ever where our faith and our right to express our faith is being challenged. Can we afford as followers of Jesus Christ to remain silent any longer? Is there any such thing as a neutral christian? |

1695 | are we free? | Rev 3:16 | lionheart | 140487
Kevin my brother in Christ the law of the land or societies standards have little to do with our freedom. It's the Christ in you (Col1:27) that makes you truly free. It's an inside job. You got your freedom when you made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior. Read Romans 8. Our strength and confidence come from God. My brother pray every day and strive to make Gods Word your own .(2Tim2:15) Stay strong my brother. Yours in Christ lionheart |

Sorry DOC I really stuck my foot in my mouth on this one. We did make a conscious decision when confronted with our need for Jesus. It's not about I do but what God has already done. But there are steps we had to take.Acts 2:36-38,4:12. Ro 10:9,10. Thanx for calling me to task. I gotta learn to communicate more clearly and use my words more wisely. I appreciate you doc,you carry a lot Godly wisdom. Something we all need in huge amounts. Yours inChrist Lionheart. |

1698 | Rev 3:20 | Rev 3:20 | lionheart | 142189
Goodmorning Doc, Rev 3:20 quite often gets taken out of context. If individuals would go back to vs 14 and read back through to vs 20 they would see that this is not a verse calling the unsaved to salvation but rather is addressed to the lukewarm christian and I may even dare to say to those who have fallen away. James 5:9 and 1 John 2:28 fit that concept quite well. Your the best brother, lionheart |

1700 | in the study bible explain who miss God | Rev 3:20 | lionheart | 201222
LASHIMA9, Revelation 3:20 is often quoted out of context. This verse is often used in regards to salvation. But in context of Jesus admonition to the church at Laodicea where people were just flat out lukewarm and not living as disciples of Jesus Christ. It's to this problem that Revelation 3:20 is directed and is just as applicable to us today as it was back in the first century church. In Him, lionheart |
