21 | where should I go to church? | Acts 4:32 | khuck | 105075
Acts 4:32 32 And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; Ethnicity in the congregation should not be of issue as long as the congregation is not inhospitable to those of other ethnicities, genders, economic levels...etc (God is no respector of persons) If your Sisters' Church is teaching the true unadulterated Gospel of Christ, I don't think it really matters what color the people who attend the fellowship might be. God is Good! -Kathy |

22 | is it wrong? | Gen 1:29 | khuck | 105071
Hi Sickhead: First marijuana is a controlled substance therefore it is by governmental law, illegal. Submission to the Authorities - Romans 13 1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. Second it reminds me of the questioned recently asked is it a sin to drink alcohol: The Believer's Freedom - 1 Corinthians 10 22 Are we trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy? Are we stronger than he? 23 "Everything is permissible"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"--but not everything is constructive. 24 Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. If it is not edifying then it is wrong in my humble opinion. God Bless and Keep you, -Kathy |

23 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105070
Hi EdB :) I do not understand what you are asking me? I felt that your suggestion should not be discounted and I added to that another (similar to yours) which the poster may find helpful. Not having meant to come off as contrary. Let me once again apologize to you if it came across that way. Sincerely I found no problem at all in your response. Yours in Christ, -Kathy |

24 | Who do you believe about Jesus? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105062
Hi Kalos :) I Believe God! Matthew 3:16-17 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." I Believe Jesus! Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Of course I believe the prophets and the apostles and those called by God, today as well as yesterday, they fill in the story line and the Spirit working within them that caused them to share the word, only confirms within Me that God is the Truth in Christ. And the Word given by the Spirit of God, whether given today or 3000 yrs from this day, will never change. IMHO... just my thoughts -Kathy |

27 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 105033
Dearest Noble, I promise you the answer that I rendered to your query was from my heart, and experiences. It was not from any resource or scripture, but it composed of thoughts from my personal walk with Jesus. I know that my responses are often misunderstood on the forum, or sometimes considered words from experts, expounders, and commentators. Yet I am at a loss, I can think of no clearer way to express from "my heart" what I think of The Christ. I can only say that the words that I posted were from NO SONG, SCRIPTURE, OR RESOURCE MATERIAL. They were earnestly from my heart. In which case it leaves me to wonder if maybe it is not possible to answer this question satisfactorily. So I therefore turn the tables on you (in Love) and ask you, "What do you think about the One who is called Christ?" Always your servant in Christ, -Kathy |

29 | Is civil disobedience OK when... | Prov 3:13 | khuck | 105030
Hi Steve! I always Love your responses, to these questions, they are always presented well and well thought out. No apologies required! I understand the meaning of Civil disobedience, (now I am going to date myself) I remember Martin Luther King coming to our neighborhood in Chicago speaking to the young people during the riots and asking that they turn to peaceful modes of protest, watching those young and old black people on the news being hosed down, because the law did not allow them to vote, and Rosa took a seat near the front of the bus breaking the law and being arrested. (Civil Disobedoence I truly understand) But what I hope you will expound upon is the term, Violation of my conscience or your conscience. Can you help? Love hearing from you... -Kathy |

Yet I keep coming back to this question desiring to post and answer. Would you mind indulging me here. It would be a great help much appreciated. Your sister in Christ, -Kathy |

33 | Jesus Created or Creator??? | Rev 3:14 | khuck | 104975
Hi Christian:) I am in agreement with Markarios and would add: John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. As we all know in the beginning God said, "Let there be... (AMEN: "so be it") He created the world with His Word. Jesus is the Word, The Amen. This is my understanding and belief. -Kathy |

36 | What think ye of Christ? | Matt 22:42 | khuck | 104967
Hi Noble :) I hope your Thanksgiving Day was indicative of who I have learned you to be (smile). Let me tell you what I think of The Christ, Jesus. He is the most valuable and cherished of my friends. It is hard to conceive in my mind how he could look beyond my wretched state of sin and Love me none the less, and choose to die in my place. (I am the one who deserves the humiliation and suffering that He endured) I think that Christ is the epitomy of all I desire to be. He is Love and He is humility, He is graceful and forgiving. He has healed my body and mind. He is my All in All, His very name has the power to calm my fears. He has shown me what I could not see. He has given me more than I could ever imagine. He has truly opened doors of opportunity in my life that NO one has had the power to close, and He and closed doors of my life that will never be opened again. He has offered me the right to eat from the Tree of Life. He has made me His and I know that He is mine. He has given me victory, over the enemy and He has given me joy in the midst of sorrowful days. I think He is radically AWESOME and there is not enough megabyte or pixel space on the world wide web, that could contain all the Good He is to me. What do I think about the One who is called Christ? I think He truly saves indeed, in every aspect He saves. He is worthy to merit my praise. And I believe that everyone who has Him (not knows about Him... But who has Him) they should share Him, with a lost and dying world! Noble....??? Don't you just Love Him??? :)Kathy |

Le 25:5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land. Le 25:11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. 39 | Are love and tolerance the best response | Prov 3:13 | khuck | 104926
Happy Thanksgiving Joel, Have you gotten any of my emails? It is late I know, but I am just able to get back online. With family visiting and the whole cooking thing. Surely, you do not insinuate that I am self righteously above you, when of course as you well know I am your friend and servant in Christ! And in Christ I have a great love for you! We have so many common bonds as you know. You are so very Loved, and you know that you have my ear whenever I am available and have the time to do so. Please do not be discouraged, I have tried to send you several responses to alleviate any concern that you may have, that I have put you on my nevermind list. (grin) NEVER THAT! Tomorrow is Friday, and I promise you... we will share breakfast with the Lord! Your friend and sister in Christ, -Kathy |

40 | Are love and tolerance the best response | Prov 3:13 | khuck | 104900
In order to forgive ... you must have Love. Christ was able to forgive them because He Loved them.... For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son... Nothing is of value without the component of Love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Staying within the context of the question posed, I believe that nothing in the life of a "True Christian" will ever be effective if it cannot be addressed with and in Love. In He Who Is Love, -Kathy |
