Dear Remodeled: I want you to know I love you FULL GOSPEL brother ans sisters! This is not a issue to disfellowship one another over. Would you be so loving to explain what your deffination of an Apostle is? Would you also be willing to share where in the Bible it says we are to ask for spiritual gifts, and lay hands on to receive these gifts? I am not in anyway teasing but I am genuinely interested in you Biblical view point. Thank you friend. agape, justme |

2244 | asking for gifts of teh Spirit? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49479
Dear Jydubb: Please pray instead, that I remain in the center of the LORDS will. I know my gift's and God allows me the humble use of them as He needs me to be of service. Brother remember being a Baptist, "or what ever church you choose to associate with, no more makes you a christian; anymore than going to McDonalds makes you a hamburg." Kieth Green said that in the late eighties before his going home with our Lord. So let the Word speak louder than any messenger you hear on the radio or TV. God Bless you friend. agape, justme |

2245 | I Cor 12:7 | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49495
"PHANEROSIS" as correctly translated from greek means manifestation. Gift is "DORON" in the greek. I agree with you TKO, that many christians are ignorant by choice. To study takes effort, and time. There is much to compete with our attention and time. I am disturbed that many sit under false teachers and do not how to proof text the message they hear, to see if the teaching is accurate. My humble understanding is you may have GIFTS up to your ears, but unless they are manifested with actions these Gifts remain just words, and or wishfull thinking. How else do you suppose such false teachers develope such large supported massive money making scams. WE ARE A NATION THAT LOVES MILK RATHER THAN MEAT! We shout GOD BLESS AMERICA! We wave flags, send money for 911, we have united religion prayers on TV. But, try to get 40 percent of the people to vote? NO WAY! We should be saying AMERICA BLESS GOD! For He has watched over us and blessed us. We as so called Christians are unread in the Bible, do not pray, attend church on a regular basis, and live the same as the world. So I hope my saop box was not to boring. I got a little carried away. Thanks for the question. agape, justme |

2246 | The 9 Manifestations in I Cor 12 | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49507
Dear TKO and srbaegon: Love without truth; and truth without love, both are wrong, pilgrams. Nothing we bring to the study forun is of such a nature that the Love Christ places in us, that should stop us from respecting our faith, and views. We might have to re-evaluate our positions and perhaps grow. Romans 14:1 says"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy." NIV I would add you should read the rest of the chapter to keep it in context. agape, justme |

2247 | The gift of Tongues | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49697
Dear friend in no way do I know more than any translator. I am sorry for any thing that gave that impression. I do read what other wiser and more up to date translators say. I have no problem with the KJV, in fact it makes no difference to me if you read from the orignal 1611 version, it still has what is essential for growth an to speak to who ever will take the time to read it. May I suggest that that you seem to be rather raw in the nerves when tongues come up. I defend you right to express anything you want and feel is a way of showing how Gods love has brought you closer to Him with whatever gitt you have.Just please respect those who do not have that gift, and don't expect everyone to understand you spiritual growth. We all mature at different paces. Maturity tales a life time not a quick few years. I am you brother in Christ and you have the right to expect love amd kindness from me and every one else in the Forum! That is Christ command and I hope I am following that. Agape, justme |

2248 | The 9 Manifestations in I Cor 12 | 1 Corinthians | justme | 49699
No,I ment Romans 14:1. We are to accept people who we mighy consider different. Perhaps one who speaks in tongues thinks that is an assurance of high spirituality. Yet someone else feels the gift of teaching is greater than togues. If we respect and show love to each other is that not even greater? I have never failed to see this issue of tongues divide believers, when in fact it shouls unite us. I am in no way braging, I have spoken in a prayer tongue once, and I did not pray for in, I know it was real. I have no problem, except I would prefer to let my gifts be manifasted where others tell me that they see God at work in me through the gift He has given me. agape, justme |

2250 | How do we deal with PRODIGALS? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 65727
Prodigal children, husbands, wives bring us deep pain, and the end results can be broken relationships, and be so very painfull. Last week I questioned if anyone has a prodigal. The response was quite touching. Many have their grown children who are Christians living together. This is, I believe a wide spred sin taking place through out our country and Christian homes. Parents are unsure how to deal with it. Do we build bridges or build walls with our prodigals? I would like to start a thread on this subject. I think this will bring out some healing which is deeply needed. Perhaps even save someones life. If you have a Prodigal or would have some good imput please share it as there are millions of familys dealing with this bashfull, shamefull subject. How do we deal with PRODIGALS? justme |

2251 | Marriage? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 71745
Growth: Welcome to the Forum! 1 Corinthians chapters 6 and 7 are very good complete answers to many questions rather than just a verse to answer a single question. You really don't go into enough detail to say much. to be honest with you. Are you and her both active Christians in a church? are you sexually pure and is she? What does she is the reason she is unsure about you? What happened with this other young man that causes her reluctance. Where in her faith is she struggling. I will be able to give you some more Biblical information if you can help in some more information. Blessings. justme |

2253 | Is suicide unforgivable ? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 77301
Centurion: Welcome to the forum! Your question is one that concerns me. I sincerely hope you are not considering suicide. There is nothing that you can not work threw with Christ or is to big a problem to see you over it. The verses I give you are 1Corinthians 6:19-20 makes it clear you are the temple of God. We will be held accountable for our lives and deeds done. But the only unforgivable sin is rejecting Jesus Christ as you Lord. This forum would be very opent to assisting you in any way if you are depressed or in need of counseling. I would sincerely be interested in hearing from you. Peace in Christ. justme |

2254 | women? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 77476
greatfullydead: I would ask you to consider the culture at the time Paul wrote his letters. At that time women were uneducated, and considered as belongings to the man. A womans life was very demeaming. Jewish men had a prayer that included " I am glad I was not born a women. Is culture of 200 years ago to be followed today? Or was Paul addressing those who lived in that culture at that time? As we see today in many third world, and even some more modern countries, women cover the face, can't drive, are beaten by others, raped as punishment, and treated like scum. I know Jesus elevated women and treated them very different form the culture of that day. For example, the woman caught in adultery, the woman at the well, Mary and Martha, and even his mother. Respect, love and uplifting women were the examples I see. Paul taught submission to both the man and woman. Men are to treat their wifes as Christ treats the Church! He gave all He dad to redeem (us) the church. I find the Book of Hosea a very clear picture of Christ and how he Bought us back with all he had, and took us as sinful as we are. I would say women know more about giving and loving and teaching then most men will ever have a clue. Why do you think most churches have more women than men? Who has the tenderness that us men strive so hard to achieve? Perhaps we (us men) know much more about asertiveness and demanding we be obeyed, than the genuineness of giving our selves as Christ did for the church (usmen included). I think we forget they, women, more specfically our wives, are our co laborers in Christ not a doormat to step upon or to be told to shutup and tend to the kids and teach other women. We men have a very distorted view of what Scripture says our lives in Christ are to be. (Now for any lady reading this take a bow while I applaud you!) I hope this is a note of enlightenment for us men. Blessings. justme |

2255 | women? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 77517
greatfullydead:I think if you remember the culture and then look at what the women did do you might see it in a better light. Look at who was supporting Paul, many are the names of women. Jesus was ministered to by women. In context of the culture the women were elevated far above what was the norm at that time/ I do not see how we can call culture of that time a Biblical example of how we are to treat women today. Here is a point. What is the most valued thing in a church? I beleive it is the babies and children. Rarely do men minister to those babies or toddlers. Why not? If anyone has a doubt that that is not evangelism may I suggest any man do it for a year or two. Look at the mission field, there are many single women on the field doing it all. Often with out being "ordained" by a denomination! I have been to Bolivia in the most desolate place I hope to ever be again. There was a couple of women Missionaries doing ministry that was beyond my expectations. God Called them. They obeyed and and at a cost above most of would be willing to pay. What is leadership? Leadership is nothing less than obediance to Christ call and doing it. Billy Ghrams daughter is a evangelist, and is very effective. The United States history of women in ministry is a subject that will really amaze you. There are women in every church position today. I am not a femminist at all, even though I have strong feelings of support of women in ministry, I do see the practical side of the odds against women being accepted by the conserative end of the church. I am not liberral at all, but I have reservations about women pastors. However I see some denominarions that allow men who have been unfaithfull in sexual purity, allowed to stay in ministry, or in some really messed up churches allowing homosexuals pastor. The perveted culture of our time has a pendalem sings in swings. The proof of Gods Call in ones life is the equiping of God in ones life and then the ministry that follows. "Who am I to judge some of these issues", is how I think sometimes. I hope this is'nt to confusing, I have tried to explain a very complicated issue. Peace. justme |

There is no one who could give you the help you need on the inner net. From your note is is very clear you have made some unbiblical choices, and when we make such choices the results are seldon good. I am sure others who read this will be in prayer for you and your family. GET HELP ASAP! Peace to you. justme |

2258 | ..confidence, trust, belief and courage? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 125168
boLB: In reading your note there come to my mind several areas of concern. I don't know if you are a follower of Jesus or not, as you don't say. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ then what are you doing in such a immoral relationship? For that matter even if your not a Christian this in not a healthy relationship. For the reason that you turned to this Forum I will take it you are a Christian. I will make it real, and get to the point. I Cor. 6:14. You can not take fire into your soul, and not expect to bet burned. You are spiritually in serious big time trouble, say nothing of what this immoral, unbiblical relationship with your mind and body. You have one acceptable choice. Get out at once, flee from this and repent. That's a rather old fashion term, but you get the point. Ot you can remain in the same condition as you are. The choice is your's and I pray you will choose the way of Christ. justme |

2259 | How much is too much? | 1 Corinthians | justme | 161882
On Bott Radio A speaker asked how much money is to much for a Christian? A million dollars, hundreds of millions? The question is how little can we live on? Then, at point can we stop earning, and give all to God? Any thoughts on this? Justme |

2260 | Is masturbation a sin ?scripture confirm | 1 Corinthians | justme | 170182
JeffBradt: It would be helpful when responding to a note to look at the date it was posted, which in your case was Oct. 15, 2005. The person has perhaps changed their e-mail site, or who knows what. I try to avoid these kind of questions, as they can be just kids joking and making fun. Even this is 2006 there is still a stigma when giving opinions that may or may not be what you consider sould solid advice. Better to say nothing then to prove we are nuts by what we say. Justme |
