381 | Given the chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94114
Can you show me the scriptures that adam and eve live but spiritually death. Quote"When we repent and trust in Christ, we are forgiven for all of our sins." end of quote. That is why I am asking the case of uzzah how could he repent if he killed right away after committing sins. But you said in your other post God cut the opportunity of uzzah to repent? ypu also said "God has no favoritism" if God cut the opportunity of uzzah and your not, do you call that equal opportunity. 382 | Given the chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94118
Ge 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Just for clarification God did not say that Adam would die "on that day" there is no word "on that day" found in Gen 3:3 God in Gen 3:3 is not talking about the spiritual death of adam because eventually adam died after a nine hundred fifty long years. Here are the meaning of the "DIE" that used in Gen 3:3 Hebrew word: 'muwth' phonetic spelling 'mooth' meaning "DIE" 1. to die, kill, have one executed (Qal) a. to die b. to die (as penalty), be put to death 1.to die, perish (of a nation) 2. to die prematurely (by neglect ofwise moral conduct) (Polel) to kill, put to death, dispatch (Hiphil) to kill, put to death (Hophal) to be killed, be put to death 1d to die prematurely God created adam not to die at least after disobedience, after disobedience God said this to adam: Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. There is no such teaching about spiritual death in at least five books of moses dont tell you found one I did not read. There is no such teaching about soul of human will go to hell or heaven in at least five books of moses, dont tell me that adam has his teaching already. I would like to remend you that one of your last post you said "God has no favoritism" while in your last post you said: quote "I trust this clears it up and we do not need to go back to the story of Uzzah. But he was spiritually dead because of his sin in rebelling against God. He was aware of his sin, but he had not repented. In God's wisdom he cut off his opportunities to repent by taking his life." If God cut the opportunity of uzzah to repent and adam and yours or mine did not, how could you call that an "equal opportunity" God bless, |

383 | Did Uzzah has given chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94417
Emmaus, Good Morning from the Philippines! Yes, God can answer that question, I tried if I can get some concrete ideas from the forum. I hope my question is a valid question. P.s. I was wondering, your note to me reach me not through my email I just visted the question and I found your note there. The same of the note of graceful, I just found out when I visited the thread, I dont know why. Some of the response reach me through my e-mail others not. God bless, |

384 | Did Uzzah has given chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94420
So are you saying that the sense of 1 john 1:9 is not applicapble for everyone. Did God has a favoritism who to gave chance to repent and who did not. Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Jesus Christ said all manner of sin (including the one of Uzzah) are forgivable excluding the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If all sin is forgivable then why God cut the opportunity of uzzah to repent. There are people in the Bible that done sin that punisheable by death but have a chance to repent. Ge 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Adam eventually died but after a long time, they given chance to repent. God bless, |

385 | Given the chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94422
Gen 3:3 speaking of material death and not spiritual death, because they eventually die after a long time. I dont believed that God created man just to die at least after disobedience. When they disobey the sorrow and death comes: Ge 3:16 ¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Ge 3:17 ¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Ge 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. In the first five books of moses there is no teaching about the soul; there is no teaching that if they disobey they will go to hell and if they obey God's law they will go to heaven. The isralites in the time of moses have no idea about the soul go to hell or go to heaven. The promises for them really is the "canaan" which where they are now. So dont tell me that there is spiritual teaching there. God bless, |

386 | Given the chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94548
It maybe, we started it with the case of uzzah. Is he given chance to repent. Quote"act 1. Adam and Eve hid from God because of their broken relationship with God. Gen. 3:8" It is your conclusions that they are death spiritually. I believed they dead materially that is the "de" mentioned in gen. 3:3 because eventually they die. God did not created man just to die, at least after disobedience. Because when they disobey this is only the time that God tell to adam that he came from dust and to the dust he will go back. Quote ". Uzzah was killed immediately before he had the chance to repent due to a law of God that was in place well before he touched the Ark. II Sam. 6:7 and Num. 4:15. end of quote. It is my believed too that uzzah did not given the chance like others. Solomon done worshiping other god's but God appeared to him twice a very clear example of giving him chance to repent. When the israelites worship the golden calf three thousand of them put to death but solomon did not, what kind of equal law is that. Quote Fact 3. You still have not answered my original question. Do you think that good intentions should supercede the laws of God?? II Sam. 6:6 end of quote. I believed I answered that already in my previous post, good intensions will not supercedes the laws of God, my argument is why He did not given chance to repent like what the others had. Hell and heaven is very important thing to be taught at the time and I am sure if that given that time moses will write it. Every single law that given to moses was wrote and specificall taught do you there are more important than everyone will know that if they disobyed they will go to hell and heaven if they obeyed. This is a very important things my fried. Why is not written because it is not taught during that time. Moses wrote a simple like washing hands after you touch a dead animals, and not taught hell or heaven which is more important. God bless, |

387 | Integrity | Num 12:7 | jlpangilinan | 132022
How about mary and apostle paul, apostle paul are the most hardworking apostle of all times, because of him the Christianity possibly reach the place its such as yours and mine, did you consider that. Apostle paul exchange his riches and education to burden, he evangelize the word of God as no one can do. He has a good life and respected and highly educated, but he rejected that enable to served Christ. I am not degrading what moses did to his people, moses died and god buried him, paul was put behind bars because of his testimony of Christ, he was tutured, beheaded which was a very painful death. Paul This first imprisonment came at length to a close, Paul having been acquitted, probably because no witnesses appeared against him. Once more he set out on his missionary labours, probably visiting western and eastern Europe and Asia Minor. During this period of freedom he wrote his First Epistle to Timothy and his Epistle to Titus. The year of his release was signalized by the burning of Rome, which Nero saw fit to attribute to the Christians. A fierce persecution now broke out against the Christians. Paul was siezed, and once more conveyed to Rome a prisoner. During this imprisonment he probably wrote the Second Epistle to Timothy, the last he ever wrote. "There can be little doubt that he appered again at Nero's bar, and this time the charge did not break down. In all history there is not a more startling illustration of the irony of human life than this scene of Paul at the bar of Nero. On the judgment-seat, clad in the imperial purple, sat a man who, in a bad world, had attained the eminence of being the very worst and meanest being in it, a man stained with every crime, a man whose whole being was so steeped in every nameable and unnameable vice, that body and soul of him were, as some one said at the time, nothing but a compound of mud and blood; and in the prisoner's dock stood the best man the world possessed, his hair whitened with labours for the good of men and the glory of God. The trial ended: Paul was condemned, and delivered over to the executioner. He was led out of the city, with a crowd of the lowest rabble at his heels. The fatal spot was reached; he knelt beside the block; the headsman's axe gleamed in the sun and fell; and the head of the apostle of the world rolled down in the dust" (probably A.D. 66), four years before the fall of Jerusalem. |

388 | How did joshua educate in Gods law | Num 13:16 | jlpangilinan | 74275
Joshua is the son of Nun, of the tribe of Ephraim, the successor of Moses as the leader of Israel. He is called Jehoshua in Nu 13:16 He became Moses' minister or servant, and accompanied him part of the way when he ascended Mount Sinai to receive the two tables (Ex 32:17). I am sure, during the time moses taught him everything he need to handle the people of Israel. Under the direction of God, Moses, before his death, invested Joshua in a public and solemn manner with authority over the people as his successor (De 31:23). Under the direction of God all good things is possible, He can make Kings and remove kings so it is not impossible for Him to make Joshua intellegent, to teach the law as moses wrote the law already. 389 | Was Joshua a brilliant strategist? | Num 14:7 | jlpangilinan | 74279
The record of Joshua shows that he is great commander conquering 6 nations and 31 kings Now began the wars of conquest which Joshua carried on for many years, the record of which is in the book which bears his name. Six nations and thirty-one kings were conquered by him (Jos 11:18-23; 12:24). Having thus subdued the Canaanites, Joshua divided the land among the tribes, Timnath-serah in Mount Ephraim being assigned to himself as his own inheritance. (See Shiloh; Priest.) He strategy is with the faith into the lord, when the other spy reported that they cannot destroy the enemy of they are giants it is Joshua reported that they can destroy the enemy with the help of the Lord. Nu 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. Nu 14:7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. Nu 14:8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Nu 14:9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. God bless |

390 | Is 10 percent mandatory | Num 18:26 | jlpangilinan | 62381
Tithes is very important part of Jewish religion, under the law of moses the isralites are commanded to give tithes to the levites. Nu 18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe. In the new testament Christ never required anyone to give ten percent of thier income, the teaching of Christ and the apostle goes: 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Not ten percent nor 20 percent but the purpose of the heart if you can give more than half of your income it is acceptable to God but ten percent is not a requirements. Tithes is included in the law of moses and it cannot justify us: Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Heb 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham the authority of receiving tithes was given to the levites not to any pastors of today, but if you notice too many are teaching that not requiring a christian for a good works but requiring tithes. you have to be very patient because there are people try to be a decendants of levites in terms of collecting tithes. You are right tithes is for God, under the law of moses the people of Israel commanded to give thier tithes to levites. But in the time of Christ, He never require anyone to give thier tithes. The apostle also not required thier folowers to give tithes to them. Giving that taught in the new testament goes: 2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. according to purposes of the heart not 10 percent 20 percent but purposes of the heart. When the law given to israel it is sepcific to them and not for a Christian, when God give the ten commandments it is specific to them: De 5:3 The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. The lord made the covenant"with them not including thier father but "who are all of us here alive" we are not included them, not even thier fathers. tithe is included in the law of moses, and it cannot justify us: Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Why we have to required people to do things that cannot justify us? Or you will say that tithe is not included in the law of moses? God bless, Johnny |

You said "One thing Abraham tithed long before the law Gen 14:20. Abraham did it to show honor. Can you think of any better way to put our faith to work than by honoring God with our money? Not because we have too but because we can. When you willingly give something that is so essential to our daily existance your showing your dependance in not on the gift but on the receiver of the honor." It is abraham give the tenth of all no one required him but he give, it is different for what happening today, the pastors required thier memners to give the tithe instead of love offering. Where did abraham his tithe anyway? Ge 14:16 And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people. Ge 14:17 ¶ And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale. Ge 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. He slaughter Kings and took thier goods and give tithes of all. Do you think Christ will allow that kind of action? Do you think Christ will happy if I am going to kill somebody and took thier goods and give tithes of all? Please answer. To convice me that tithe ten percent is requirements for Christians today please show me any single teaching of Christ that He required anyone to give tithes to Him. He is God He is the most authority to receive tithes. Authority of receiving tithes are given to levi: eb 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Are sons of levi that given the authority to receive tithes? (if you are jew I am sorry you have the authority under the law) God bless, Johnny |

394 | God's commandment not to worship idols. | Deut 5:8 | jlpangilinan | 35454
When God said not to make idols better to follow. In the first place how did you know that the graven image that you saw crusified is Jesus? If you saw it in the catholic churches Christ that nailed there has a long hair the same long hair that mary had. I dont believed that Jesus Christ has along hair: Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. That verses stated that it is a shame for a man to have a long hair. No one can tell us now how Jesus Christ look like aside from the revealation of the apostle about Him, so how could you so sure that Jesus Christ in your cross is truly the Jesus Christ? Aside from that Jesus reminded us to worship Him in spirit, so do we not need any graven image to thought about Him. Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. God bless, Johnny |

396 | God's commandment not to worship idols. | Deut 5:8 | jlpangilinan | 35459
Hugger, Are you saying that it is ok to have any graven image. Did you say that you dont worship them, then why it should be in the church? for what. Do you think it is okay to put them in the altar and kneeling before them because as you said God looking into our hearts. Where in the scriptures that will stated that it is ok to have graven image in front of you when you pray? can you show me that? Where in the scriptures that will stated that when you make a church put graven image in the cross and it will okay for God? can you show me that too. If God say no, it is No! there is no conlcusion about that. I will give the example that when God said no, it is NO! obedience is important my friend when if really want to follow the commandments of God. God said in the old testament that ark of covenant cannot be touch and whoever touch them will die. If read 2Sa 6:6 ¶ And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. 2Sa 6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. The motive really of Uzzah is good preventing the ark of covenant to fall or broke, but because of his disobedience God killed him. It is the same thing in our lives today, when God say no, it is no! dont put your conclusion to it it could be dangerous. Even you said that you are not worshiping them but you made an graven image it is against in the commandments of God! to be safe dont make any for you. |

Could you please provide me the passages in the bible that doctrine is biblical. Please provide answers. And I will provide you the proof that it is not a biblical doctrine. 2.When God says Ex 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Ex 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Did He except Mary and other images that you kneel and serves? 398 | Pray Rosary | Deut 5:21 | jlpangilinan | 32645
Emmaus, You Said:Catholic doctrine does not approve serving idols, it condems it. We do not pray for saints. We ask saints, living here on earth or in heaven to pray with us and for us. We are all in Christ. Death does not separate us in Him. Are you denying that you pray the rosary? is that biblical too? where in the teaching of Jesus Christ that we should pray to Mary so we will get closer to Jesus as catholic doctrine taught. What Jesus said was" I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes into the father but by me" or we should put additional but you should pray to saints or Mary?. I dont believed that you dont serve the idols, catholics bringing graven images in streets putting flowers on them kissing them and praying for them are denying this practices? you kneel in the front of graven images when you pray or are you denying that also. Please provide your answers here. You said"I hope in honor of the literal commandment as you quoted it, you have destroyed all photographs of all your loved one" My Answer: Why do I have to destroy photographs of my love ones, can you put a little logic? do I pray for them to help me closer to God NO! did I bring them to streets and put flower to them and recite a rosary to them? NO! Did I kneel in front of them NO! I know what the differences between the two! Please provide answers. I have many things to ask about you faith I hope you will be open to answers those. 399 | Please answers my points | Deut 5:21 | jlpangilinan | 32688
Emmaus, If I said that you serve idols you must defend that you are not serving it, kindly provide me the passages that will support you that kneeling in the graven images is teaching of Jesus Christ then I will stop saying that you are actually worshiping idols. That is why I said that because I saw it catholic that they are kneeling in graven images, bringing in the streets putting flowers on them pray for them, and reciting rosary to them, is that true or not? Now if you think doing those things is biblical teaching why you dont try to provide me the passages that will stated so you can tell me that kneeling in graven images is really a biblical teaching. That is your duty my friend to defend, to explain what you believed in. If you think that kneeling in graven images is teaching of Jesus Christ, then it is you duty to give us the proof. Its seems that you dont want to try answering my points, you just escaping from the topic. What you do is to get one point that it is very far from what I am asking you to defend. I know that you know that when I asked you those question what I want really is biblical support and if you can defend what you believed in. 1. When you pray the rosary to the saints or any novena to any saints, is that biblical or not? If it is biblical kindly show me the passages that will support that praying for the saints is teaching of Jesus Christ. I hope you can provide your answers. 2. When you kneel in graven images, is that biblical or not? If it is biblical please provide me the passages that will support that kneeling in the front of any graven images is really teaching of Jesus Christ. I hope you can provide passages that will support that kneeling in graven images is really teaching of Jesus Christ. If you really believed in your congregeation you should defend it against who criticize it. If you believed in something you must ready to defend what you believed in. I hope you will provide answers in my questions God bless, Johnny |

400 | What is God's teachings on military war? | Deut 7:2 | jlpangilinan | 23601
De 7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: In the old testament God Commanded people of Israel to go to war in order to defend Israel and the same time thier faith (Jewish)Because at the time Irael is only the nation that Worship the true God. In order to protect the Jewish Relegion they have to go to war against those nation that treat Jewish relegion because they know if any of this nation will invade them it will change thier kind of worship. If we recall when Babilonians invaded Israel, Daniel and other people of Israel force to worship Idols. When Jesus Christ crusified give as share of the commonwealth of Israel we are now believed in the same God, so there is no reason to go war against each other, even us gentiles now believed in the same God: Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Jesus Christ never encourage anyone to go war against each other, He also instructed people to flee to the mountains if there are treat for thier life. He never commanded us to fight back: Lu 21:20 ¶ And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Lu 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. Jesus Christ also gave an specific instruction to soldiers: Lu 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. About Christian warfare: The Christian life is represented as a warfare, and the Christian graces are also represented under the figure of pieces of armour (Eph 6:11-17; 1Th 5:8; 2Ti 2:3-4). The final blessedness of believers is attained as the fruit of victory (Re 3:21). I hope it would helps God bless, Johnny |
