761 | Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat | Ps 111:7 | jlpangilinan | 59459
You said"I disagree with your opinion that God would give instruction and Messiah would not follow it. If Messiah broke the Law then he would not be a perfect sacrifice, He would not have been worthy to redeem us from the wages of our sin. I don't think that you intend to say that the Messiah kept Torah imperfectly but that seems to be what you are hinting at." Did I say that Jesus Christ did not follow it, I never say that, please if you want to make a discussion dont tell a lie. You accusing me here with things that I never committed. If going back to my previous previous post what I say there that he took corns and ate with His disciples but I never say that He disobey the law of sabbath. You said"There was no law for Moses and a Law for Christ. They are the same." You are terrible wrong we Christian we are justified by law of moses but by Christ Ac 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. There is new commandment, why you said they are the same what do you think of Paul? did he lie by writing this Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. Not according to the covenant that given to moses it is very clear. I want you to answer this before further discussion. Did you observed the law correctly? Did you stoned to death you brother and sisters caught in adultery did you do that? If you find them gathering stick in the day of sabbath did you kill them? Are you really dont go out your place in the day of sabbath? If you did not observe them correctly, here what my Lord God Jesus say about that! Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. God bless Johnny |

764 | Simple example that we shoud keep sabbat | Ps 111:7 | jlpangilinan | 59279
I want to clarify somethings, do you agree with me or you arguing me? Are you suggesting that we have to keep the sabbath like what moses observed it or the one of Jesus Christ? My previous post explain that we have to keep the sabbath as what Christ observed it. If we observe it like what OT teach we must not go out of our place in the day of sabbath. Ex 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. In my previous post I quoted the verses that Christ go to the corn fields and eat, meaning He go out His place with His disciples, Did He break the law? God bless, Ex 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. |

According to this guest he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in heaven, he even ate with them. What do you think of this claim? Do you think it is different from John statement: Joh 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. You said"But i guess it is a sin not to keep the Sabbath rest holy(do no work, nor make others do work etc..). " Jesus Christ, done works in sabbath. In the law of moses it is punisheable by death if you do works in sabbath, but Christ fulfilling the sabbath by doing good works. Mt 12:1 ¶ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. Mt 12:11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? Mt 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Mt 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; Jesus Christ make Himself an example that we can do good in sabbath it is the same as honoring God. If you imagine today if you dont allow people to work in sabbath day and this people is a doctor, did you imagine how many patient brought in the hospital everyday? Could you imagine if someone dying in the hospital on sabbath day and there is no doctor will attend to you because the cannot go to work? What do you think? God bless, Johnny |

771 | PRECISELY, what is the new covenant | Heb 9:1 | jlpangilinan | 58074
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 10. Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. This is our obligations to God and to our nieghbor Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Those are the new commandments |

Your answers to me is your own toughts and not a biblical facts, you dont even put verses to supported your claim. Paul and other apostle done many things for Christ, they do many things, if you dont its up to you. And please before anything else please answer or disporove my points with a passages in the bible and tell me if I misused scriptures. My answers to you are complete with the passages supported to it, where I misused scriptures? God bless, Johnny |

773 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 58053
I know that we cannot be ferfect on our own. So if have no obligation what are you doing wait and not do anything? You have the obligations as a Christian as a follower of Christ you must obey His commandments. You do this not be save but because you love God. If really you said was true that we have no obligation, to be ferfect do you think it is not an obligation? You have to follow first become a ferfect, how could you be a perfect if dont want to follow. Take a look at this verse. Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. If you know good and you dont do it what james said, it is a sin. Christ is telling His desciples these things... Joh 14:15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments. Keeping His commandments is an obligation, to follow is an obligation, how about you you dont want to follow? Christ said to us... Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: What is our obligation, to teach, as a matter of fact the desciples follow this. If you are right that we have no obligation I am sure they dont do it, but because they follow Christ they evangelize His teaching, they wrote it that is why we have the bible now, and you said we have no obligation? I dont think so. We have obligation as a follower of Christ, but because we have faith in Him we try to follow His commandments, not to be save by our works but we do it because we love Him. Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. So if you have faith, make sure there is an output, because faith withoout an output is questionable. God bless, Johnny |

774 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 57988
No! they are not conflict and contradict each other. Christ fulfilling the law with a deep and meaning, it is totally different what moses taught in his people in the old testament time. Christ said he come to fulfill the law, but He done works that punisheable by death inside the law If we remember that law forbid to do works in sabbath day. Christ did He did healing and other works in sabbath: Mt 12:1 ¶ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. t 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; If we think that Christ breaking the law by doing those things, He is imprudent and contradict Himself in matt 15:17 In Ephesians 2:15 He abolished it by freeing us to the works of law and not disobeying the law! He free us in sacrificial like lamb, cow and other animals by making Himself a ultimate offering. By His death we are free from the law. For example, in the old testament gathering stick in the day of sabbath is punisheable by death. We have to stone our brother and sister if they do this in the day of sabbath Christ free us from this kind of practices and works of the law. We dont have to stone somebody if we caught them commiting adultery. Those are some works of the law that Christ free us by His death. Christ abolishing the law by freeing us in the works of the law but not disobeying the law. If we remember that Christ give us the two great commandments, If we observe this two commandments there is no single teaching of the law we disobeying. Christ fulfilling the law by observing the two commandments. God bless, Johnny |

775 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 57974
You said" There is no "obligation" or duty of obedience (for any reason) after Jesus's death... he fulfilled that TOTALLY with his blood." No! there is obligation, following Christ is our obligation as a Christian. If you have faith in Him you should have a good fruit as your output as a following of Him. Here is our duty now: Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Loving God is your duty and responsibility Loving your nieghbor is indeed a responsibility. God bless, Johnny |

776 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 57972
McGracer, You are welcome! You said"I just find that I cannot consistently do it." That is true, the two commandments is very hard to follow, but we have to do our best to follow Christ, dont worry that is my problem too. Just keep doing our part and let the lord God help us. God bless, Johnny |

777 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 57970
As I said if we follow the Christ example of observing the commandments, we are not abolishing the law but fulfilling it with the deep meaning. I dont really sure if you agree with me or not. You said"we still have an obligation through service to obey the law." My question to you is how did you obey the law? Did you observe it like what Christ did, or observed it like the people of old testament does. I want to clarify some things, when you obey the law did you observe these: 1. Kill your brother or sisters by stone if you saw them gathering stick in the day of sabbath? 2. Stone to death those who commit adultery. 3. Not eating pork and other food that the law forbid. 4. Did you observed everything under the law? If you forget any of them this is what Christ said: Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Please answer thos questions and then we maybe continue the discussion God bless, |

778 | Is the Law abolished or not? | Eph 2:15 | jlpangilinan | 57839
Christ come not to abolished it. Yes that is right but Christ fulfill it with a deep meaning, He fulfill it not the same way of what the old testament people does. For example, in the law of moses, it is punisheable by death if you do works on sabbath, Christ do works on sabbath day, such us healing and other great works: Mt 12:12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Mr 2:23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. If we say that Christ is breaking the by doing those things mentions, did He imprudent and contradict His statement in Matt. 5:17 Jesus Christ gave us the two commandments to love God with all thy heart, soul, strenght and love our nieghboors as thyself! if we observe this two commandments there is no single teaching of law we are going to disobey. Christ Himself make an example to us how to observe the commandments, He want us to follow His example. If we remember when the scribes take a woman accused of adultery, adultery is punisheable by death under the law of moses but Christ did not allow them to kill the woman by stone. Joh 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. Thou shall not kill indeed is in the law! So if we follow the example of Christ of observing the commandments we are not abolishing the law but fulfilling it with a deep meaning. God bless, Johnny |
