Are you saying Peter or Paul could be wrong?
182 | jcsav, Did these people believe or not? | Rom 10:16 | jcsav | 142847
I am saying that people can believe and be baptized, yet not receive the Holy Ghost (Spirit)at that point in time. How you view this depend on whether or not you believe that and individual can be saved without yet receiving the Holy Ghost.
183 | How can you say Simon wasn't saved? | Acts 8:13 | jcsav | 142846
Sorry, yes I meant Simon. And where did you think he recieved his power from. Yes he lost his power but it was not because he recieved the Holy Ghost. It was because the Gospel was preached. And what he says in Verse 24 do not mean his heart had changed when he said it. Spirits must be judged by the Spirit of God not by the hearing of the hear. Again I opoligize for saying Simeon and not Simon.
184 | Is the UPC a Christian Church? | Matt 24:11 | jcsav | 142845
Do I understand you correctly. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God. The are three different Persons by not three different Gods. So, can anyone of them be God without the other two? Are is when I say "God" I mean either one of them or all of them together?
185 | Is the UPC a Christian Church? | Matt 24:11 | jcsav | 142843
So, is the Father greater that the Son in the Godhead? And is the Son greater that the Holy Spirit?
186 | jc Where does 1 Cor 12:13 insert Jhn 3:5 | 1 Cor 12:13 | jcsav | 142842
Their is more to believing than you seem to be aware of. Have you ever studied Greek and Hebrew meanings. Do you understand how it relate to faith, obey and etc. Believing must be viewed in a continuing process. Not just at one point in time. |

187 | jcsav, Why isn't believing being saved? | Acts 16:31 | jcsav | 142840
Seacher, I agree with you that a Preacher is still need. But if we are going to ignore Scripture because of the sign of the times. Then why bother? Tongues was in that day. Now is Preaching, also in that day?
188 | jcsav, Why isn't believing being saved? | Acts 16:31 | jcsav | 142838
Because one believe do not mean that they are saved. Maybe I am not wording it correctly. How about in Revelation where it says the Fearful will have their place with the unbelieving. It did not say that the Fearful was unbelieving. It also list other vices.
189 | jcsav, Why isn't believing being saved? | Acts 16:31 | jcsav | 142837
I do not like to say what God can't do. I can not find anywhere in the New Testament where God saved anyone without one of His agents. God's Salvation is not a "on my own" Salvation.
190 | jcsav, Why isn't believing being saved? | Acts 16:31 | jcsav | 142745
There is believing and there is believing to the saving of ones soul. That is what Act 16:30-34 mean, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 10:8-14 can be explain in verse 16."But they have not all obeyed the Gospel, For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believe our report? As you can see OBEYING the Gospel is linked to believing the Report. You can not say you believe and disobey. (1 Cor l:21) it is preaching that save them that believe. Not believing itself. You still think God disagrees with me. The Scripture said that Simeon believed and was Baptized. Did that make him saved. No. Maybe he got it together later on.
191 | jcsav, Don't we receive Him at salvation | 1 Cor 12:13 | jcsav | 142742
That is not what the Scripture is saying. You can not see the Kingdom of God until you are born of the Water and the Spirit. It is not possible to be born before this. Unless you see a difference in born again and being saved. You receive the Holy Ghost when you repent and is Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. Just as Peter said. Why are you guys always looking for another way? When you obey this, no, there is nothing else to do, on your part. The Lord will fill you with the Holy Ghost (Spirit). If he do not, then you have not fully repented or for whatever reason he is waiting. |

192 | jcsav, what does it mean to obey Ac 2:38 | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 142735
If you asked anyone that have been baptized in Jesus name whether they have received the Holy Ghost are not. Those who have will say so. Those who have not is usually trueful to say they have not. One the Other hand, If you ask anyone that have been Baptized under the statement "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And most all will say they have received the Holy Spirit. And I have notice if one ask how do you know, then there is always someone to tell them that they in fact can claim or is in title to it.
193 | Is the UPC a Christian Church? | Matt 24:11 | jcsav | 142731
So, I take it that you do not believe that the Father became flesh. But that it was a different person altogether. Is that Correct?
194 | jcsav, What does does Acts 2:41 mean? | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 142697
I did not say God do not use the brain. I meant that the utterance comes from the Holy Ghost and not oneself. God spoke through a donkey. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Do God make use of our minds, yes that is where our spirit is (not physically). But he don't need to. What can your mind add to God? Did those who wrote the Bible always understand what they wrote?
195 | jcsav, what does it mean to obey Ac 2:38 | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 142696
I disagree with you Acts 2:38 can not be any clearer. Peter says "......And you shall recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost." How many ways can you understand that to mean? You can not be saved without receiving the Holy Spirit. You have not showed me one Scripture that says we receive the Holy Ghost when we are saved. Believing is not being saved. You can believe, yet not be saved. How can you understand Acts 2:38 better than me when you have not been baptized in "Jesus name" and by that I mean literally and not figuratively. And doing so, is also a part of repentance. And doing both, you will receive the Holy Spirit. |

196 | Is the UPC a Christian Church? | Matt 24:11 | jcsav | 142648
I believe they just understand that The name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ. The same thing the Apostles understood.
197 | specific scripture on the trinity... | Bible general Archive 2 | jcsav | 142647
Thank you, I read some from the latter web site. It stated Jesus as been a member of the Godhead. That is not in line with Scripture. How can he be a member when the Scripture tells us that in Him dwellth ALL the FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY. Also, it says the early church had problems with understanding the Godhead. No where is that in Scripture. If that was true it would have been one of the main topics of discussion. It was not.
198 | explain Mat 22:44 using "oneness" doctrn | Bible general Archive 2 | jcsav | 142645
I agree. It have spoken and the Holy Ghost also.
199 | specific scripture on the trinity... | Bible general Archive 2 | jcsav | 142644
I know of no scripture that refers to trinity. "oneness" doctrine if used for those who truly believe in One God. That the Fulness of the Godhead dwelled in Jesus Christ. That he was God in the Flesh.
200 | jcsav, what does it mean to obey Ac 2:38 | 1 Cor 13:8 | jcsav | 142641
Who do you think it was speaking in Acts 2:38. Was it Peter or the Holy Spirit? Did it come from Peter or God. We was discussing Tongues. But my focus is on "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of you sins and YOU SHALL RECIEVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. KJV. If you have not done so. and I have obeyed. Then why do you judge me.
