601 | How does any Homosexual believe they are | Rom 1:19 | gracefull | 91679
I agree 100 percent. To not blow the trumpet of warning would be to have their blood on our hands. To blow the trumpet and have the truth rejected, we are free from their blood. Ezekiel 33 God bless |

602 | How does any Homosexual believe they are | Rom 1:19 | gracefull | 91998
Yes, Maryt I too place homosexxuality in the sin category along with all the others. My concern it the political agenda to make it illegal to say so. God bless |

603 | Does lesbianism make me a bad person? | Rom 1:26 | gracefull | 88180
"Does this make me a bad person?" 1 Corinthians 4: 3-5 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. As born again children of God we only have two sources of truth and they two are in perfect agreement with one another... The scriptures which are the God breathed words of our covenant, and the Holy Spirit who is the Teacher, Comforter, Enabler... When a follower of Christ finds scripture that states God's will he is obligated to repent and surrender his/her will to the will of God by faith believing the Holy Spirit will change the heart. The unloving can be changed to loving by the Holy Spirit is the unloving is willing to surrender their will and their walk. Our God is the God of the supernatural... When we refuse, at the very LEAST we miss out on God's best because we walk in disobedience opposing His will for our lives, and suffer the consequences of our sin. God bless |

604 | Homesexuality? Wrong? | Rom 1:27 | gracefull | 92990
2 Peter 1:2-4 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Man could never conquer sin within his own power. With God, mankind can cease from sin. Romans 7:23-25 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. When our will surrenders to the Holy Spirit, we are freed to obey the Spirit and not under the control of the flesh. God has made the way for all of us to overcome the sin, not surrender to it. God bless PS, the Anglicans will not be holding the 'book'. God will. We had better be sure of what HE said. |

605 | Is sexual immorality OK? | Rom 1:27 | gracefull | 93081
jbennett, Are you acknowledging that homosexuality is sin? Does accusing Christians of committing similar sins is not really the point is it? Is it your position that open sin among Christians should be not only tolerated but approved? You did not respond to my other post...how does God view sin in the New Covenant? God bless |

607 | When does God forgive me? | Rom 3:1 | gracefull | 79014
C. Hebrews 10:12 But this man (Jesus), after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; Jesus the Messiah died once for all sin, thus opening the dorr for whosoever will.. Romans 8 tells us that through Jesus blood we receive His righteousness and are justified (sinless) through faith in His sacrifice. I like this simple but carnal analogy. I was a pauper, and someone in mercy placed a large amount of money in a bank account under my name and came to me and said 'Here is the # to the bank account for all you need to come out of this poverty'. I have a choice. Accept or reject. I would say the forgiveness has been provided for anyone who would choose to accept Jesus Christ. God has not forgiven until we ask in faith. Acts of repentance does not 'change' God. God has established the law of sin and death and the law of Spirit and life. WE CHOOSE John 3 Except a man be born again He cannot see the kingdom of God. 1Peter 1:23 says we are born of incorruptible seed. This is what divides the religious world. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no man cometh to the Father but by Him. God gave His Son Jesus to provide the way, but we must ACCEPT that Way. God bless |

608 | how Christ sees us? | Rom 3:20 | gracefull | 81501
20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. 21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[9] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. 609 | Can a toddler go to heaven? | Rom 3:23 | gracefull | 88104
Good News Minister, I could not find John 5:58-59 so you may have meant 28-29. "29 and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." This says nothing about any other alternatives. Righteous to reward, wicked to judgement..one is either one or the other. "Aborted babies? Same answer as above, but as far as the Scriptures say, unless they have breathed the breath of life, unless they've come forth from their mother's womb in birth, then they are not yet 'souls' and therefore will be as though they never had been, i.e. they are not promised a resurrection because they were never born and thus shall they stay." John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother's womb... I do not know of any scripture that supports your statements concerning children being given a new body and reunited with their parents...Can you give scripture for your conclusion. Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. |

610 | Unpunished Sins? | Rom 3:25 | gracefull | 83677
In simple form... Hebrews 10:4 "because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." Luke 16 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:" Until Christ, there was no true redeption available to man..only the faithful 'looking forward' Hebrews 11:13 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Does this help? God bless |

611 | still unpunished? | Rom 3:25 | gracefull | 84153
Good morning lovesomuch, I was away for a few days. Have you found your answer? Except through the blood of Jesus can anyone be saved. We are saved through His righteousness. Those who died in faith were given the opportunity to accept Jesus. God is just. All sins of followers of the Lord Jesus Christ are forgiven because Jesus paid the price, suffered our penalty. But the sins of the lost will not go unpunished. Thus we need to pray for a heart for the lost! Let me know if you have 'lingering' questions. Sometimes it takes several posts to get to he HEART of a matter. God bless. |

612 | Faith and Works: Paul vs. James | Rom 4:3 | gracefull | 81058
We receive Jesus justification by faith...our own is useless. We receive Jesus righteousness by fatih...our own is as filthy rags... "I believe that a person can get in a barrel and survive going over Niagra Falls" ... then we should be willing to get into the barrel. I hope this is of some." Excellent point..We do what we believe in our hearts. When we believe, we don't linger in indecision...which is the difference in mental assent to truth and actually believing it-thus acting upon it. Thanks, your post was a blessing to me today! God bless |

613 | Rom 4:20 | Rom 4:18 | gracefull | 85926
Romans 4:18-19 18 In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, "SO SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE." 19 Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah's womb; Verse 18..God spoke the promise... Verse 19 Abraham believed God when in the natural there was no hope. Strong faith is faith that has been been developed (like a muscle) through faithful practice of acting on God's word while waiting patiently for the manifestation. James 1:2-4 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Romans 5:2-4 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: Abraham's faith was developed through a series of directions from God, beginning with His command for Abraham to leave his country because God had another country for him..both the promised land Cannan and the promised land, Jesus. Hebrews 11:8-10 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 614 | Difference between sin and sins? | Rom 5:12 | gracefull | 74745
I agree. Also Isaiah 53 uses healing as being 'made whole'. Considering our triune being and how the sin nature corrupts all, it is beautiful to see how God healed all three. Spirit reborn, soul redeemed, physical ravages of sin healed...Our God is GREAT and Greatly to be praised! When the Holy Spirit revealed our sinful nature and revealed Jesus as the redeemer, THEN we had a choice! To continue as a sinner, lost and without hope, or accept Jesus and go free! |

615 | disciplerami, Are we sinful by nature? | Rom 5:12 | gracefull | 75576
My 2 cents The little baby will touch both the rattle and the nick knack...but he learns it is wrong to touch the nick knack when he is told. It did not become wrong because he was told. This scripture is not saying sin is learned. It is saying that until the law came and told me I was not aware that sin was sin. Until the law told me to lie was a sin, I did not know it was sin. This does not mean I did not lie until the law came. God bless |

616 | disciplerami, Are we sinful by nature? | Rom 5:12 | gracefull | 75577
P.S. This does not mean I did not lie before the law came, nor does it mean that to lie was not sin until the law came. Adam sinned LONG before the law was given.
617 | Born agean not tought. | Rom 6:2 | gracefull | 93321
Hello godman, You seem to be addressing the issue of being overcomers through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit..transformed into the image and likeness of our saviour Jesus Christ. Romans 6:1-3 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 1. Some do not understand it... 2. Some do not believe it.. 3. Some want to remain 'in control'.. I can't think of any other reason... God bless |

619 | Christian Water Baptism's meanings? | Rom 6:4 | gracefull | 93335
Hello Hank, You bring up the point we should ALWAYS mention scripture is the TRUTH. This is true...but we often learn as much from the incorrect as the correct, or should I say 'pro and con'. "Readers of this forum who may not bother to compare what they read with what Scripture teaches are treading on very thin ice. --Hank" Not the forum only...all sources of information must be taken to scripture for comparison..our pastors, teachers, historical theologians...all. Because until the Holy Spirit burns Truth into our spirit, we are blind. God bless |

620 | Christian Water Baptism's meanings? | Rom 6:4 | gracefull | 93421
I visited a church last night and must point out the irony..if I may. This is not a direct quote but very close to it. The pastor said that unless one was baptized in the name of Jesus God would not let them in heaven, that they were a thief. Then he emediately initiated the congregation to sing 'Nothing But The Blood'. I thought to myself...what an irony. I left with a sense of sadness that although these folks are likely my brothers and sisters in Christ...(I say likely not based on their doctrine but based on the fact that all who say Lord Lord are not actualy brothers and sisters)in this life we can't have a relationship on that level because of this doctrine that draws such a defining line between us. I did not leave angry, only sad. I thought, "I could be baptised in the name of Jesus and they would accept me, but then I would have to live a lie...the lie that I was not born again BEFORE I was baptized...Redeemed by the blood. Thanks for listening, God bless |
