43 | What do you do with stangers you meet? | Heb 13:2 | fatherchuck | 11735
I don't have much experience entertaining angels, that I know of, but I do have some experience entertaining the Lord, Himself. If I may... One of the first times was when I was getting off work, about 2 a.m. I saw Him standing on a street corner so I invited Him out to tea and donuts. During the discussion I discovered He had no where to sleep for the night so He spent the night at our house and we gave him breakfast before sending Him on His way. I admit that He didn't clean up much after Himself, but it was kind of exciting to think that I was washing the Lord's dishes. Another time my wife and I were able to bring Him some groceries during a time when He had just made a career change and His budget was rather tight. The look on His face when He saw the food we had for Him, especially the strawberries, was priceless. Also... I was able to teach Him to drive. Now some may think that this would be a piece of cake, him being the Lord and all. But He had just come from the Ukraine and didn't speak much English, read even less, and when the policeman pulled Him over for changing lanes without signaling He just about lost it! His experience with police in the Ukraine wasn't a pleasant one. Another aspect about entertaining the Lord as opposed to entertaining angels is that when entertaining angels you are dependent upon their schedules as to when they may show up. But the opportunities for entertaining the Lord are almost everyday and almost endless. I know... but I'm not being facetious, I'm as serious as life. I know you have read it, but look at it again, Matt.25:31-40. And should the opportunity arise for you to entertain the Lord, let me give you a hint so you will recognize Him when you see Him. He doesn't look at all like those pictures we have of Him hanging in our churches. He might not look like what you expect Him to, but don't be fooled! It REALLY is Him. |

44 | Resurrection of 2 witnesses and Rapture? | Revelation | fatherchuck | 13918
Just a note... that the two witnesses begin their ministry at the begining of the tribulation may be an assumption. Does Rev. state when their ministry begins? It tells us how long they minister, but not when they start. Jesus will come as a thief in the night to those unprepared for Him, not His church. To the world His appearance will be their destruction, but to us it will be the consumation of our hope. As the arrival of the angels was Lot's salvation, but Sodom's destruction. |

45 | Resurrection of 2 witnesses and Rapture? | Revelation | fatherchuck | 14063
Hello Tim, Why not the second half rather than the first or sometime in between. If you look at what they do during the time of their ministry it would seem that most of that type of activity happens during the second period of the tribulation. just a thought, Chuck |
