21 | First we must walk before God | Gen 17:1 | dwilde | 88974
Walk before Me, and be blameless. I say to you that the only way to be Blameless, perfect, complete is to walk before God. It is like in Mathew 6:33 “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness” First things first we must be with God before we get the benefit of being with Him. To not walk before God or seek Him every day in every thing that you do is not sin but is making yourself vulnerable to sin. |

Blessed be the Lord for he is just and righteous. Isaiah 13 11And I, the Lord, will punish the world for its evil 16Their infants also will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be plundered and their wives ravished. This whole prophecy is generally conceded to have been written well over a century (170 years, according to archbishop James Ussher) before Babylon's downfall, when the circumstances necessary for its fulfillment seemed most improbable--but it has been literally fulfilled in detail. Human keenness of foresight could not possibly have foreseen that great Babylon would be wiped from the face of the earth (Isa. 13:19), become ruins infested by wild animals (Isa. 13:21, 22), be feared because of superstition by the Arabs (Isa. 13:20)--with only a small village near the area to mark the place where, since the days of Nimrod, mighty kings had exalted themselves above the God of heaven. Various conquerors during the centuries contributed to Babylon's downfall until, by the first century B.C., it was as utterly and hopelessly destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah (Isa. 13:19). Jeremiah 25 12Then when seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and will make the land [of the Chaldeans] a perpetual waste.(3) 13And I will bring upon that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations. 28 | freewill or predestined? | Eccl 12:14 | dwilde | 79499
Do we have freewill or has are fate been predestined? Perhaps (jest my humble opinion) we are chosen by God, and at the same time we have the choice to follow him or run. Because it is obvious, that all believers choose to obey God and disobey God every day. |

29 | Judgement does not heal abuse. | Jer 5:31 | dwilde | 86536
The Church MUST be holy and pure and we are told to "Expel the wicked man from among you." Are you not to judge those inside? A thousand times yes. 1 Corinthians 5 Expel the Immoral Brother! 1It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife. 2And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have been filled with grief and have put out of your fellowship the man who did this? 3Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. And I have already passed judgment on the one who did this, just as if I were present. 4When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5hand this man over to Satan, so that the sinful nature[1] may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord. 6Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? 7Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. 9I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-- 10not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. 12What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13God will judge those outside. "Expel the wicked man from among you."[2] Footnotes 1. 5:5 Or that his body; or that the flesh 2. 5:13 Deut. 17:7; 19:19; 21:21; 22:21,24; 24:7 |

35 | Bible to be taken literally? | Matthew | dwilde | 106293
John 19 30When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Matthew 5 17"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Let me add to what you have said if I may. "It is finished" “all is accomplished” Our Lord Jesus Christ did every thing that needed to be done. And our Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the law and the prophecies. |

37 | REVELATION ! | Matt 16:15 | dwilde | 193471
Hello all, I found this question to be intriguing and could not resist in posting an answer. The answer is that Jesus Christ is 100 percent God (the beginning and the end) and 100 percent man (Flesh and blood). He is one person of the Trinity, (God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, The three are One). It is this fact, this belief, this doctrine that is the foundation of our faith and our salvation. This Rock is also the stumbling block that most people can not get around. That is why their are so many religions in the world. Religions are based on getting around the Word of God. Christianity is a relationship with God, built on the Foundation of the 100 percent infallible, inerrant Word of God, Jesus Christ. |

40 | Can one accept Christ but not the Bible? | Luke 24:27 | dwilde | 86739
Can one accept Christ but not the Bible? A thousand times NO. If you believe the Bible has a flaw then you must believe Christ has a flaw and if Christ has a flaw then he is not worth believing in. Christ is the word, the bible. And if you do not believe that, and if you do not believe that the bible is the living word of God, and is God, then you cannot believe in Christ who is the bible, the living word of God, and you do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. Fore he will testify that Christ and the word, the bible are one. If we as true believers do not stand up and tell the truth about salvation and the whole bible, then we are suppressing the truth, suppressing the Holy Spirit and misleading the lost. John 1 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 14 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 15 26"When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. |
