First he was beaten more than any man (That included those who died on the cross with him). Christ had to bear our sins to meet God's Justice. In other words he took our place.

Mararios, you should forget about the Oneness and Trinity discussion. When you don't even understand the water Baptism. Thou, I may answer some questions. I realize that in the times we live only God can open one's understanding of the God head. I can not do it through answering all your questions. Be cause it is more important for most in this forum to be right, than to know the Truth.

It is easier to understand. And it makes the whole bible easier to understand. Can you lift Jesus too high? Didn't he say " he who has the Son have also the Father? Where is the "Oneness" that you label us with (an yes, some of us except)in that? If you think this is something you can just come into on you own then why can't you? Just as I had to wait on the Holy Ghost, I had to wait on this. You would understand more Scripture if you did more of what it says and less study. God is not giving his secrets out to those that don't believe.

Did I tell you that (that you served 3 gods) or did I tell someone else that they served three gods? If I said that to You, Please except my apoligy. You made a valid point. Now, If you was bold enough to apply The "Jesus" name to the Father and Holy Spirit then you would have the Oneness. I did not know as much as you about the Godhead when I was in the other Church. It was funny to me (at that time) that Jesus the Son could Be GOD.

I was never on the hook. You should be putting all you time into finding out what God requires. And stop trying to trap me, like they tried to trap Jesus. Start with the water baptism.

52 | Jesus name of the Father, Son and H/Ghos | Bible general Archive 2 | cajam | 97365
Hank, I was lead to be rebaptized by the Holy Ghost (not the indwelling) and no, I do not deny Matt 28:19,20. I just understand what Jesus said to his deciples. When I was filled with the Holy Ghost I speak in tongues (and no, I do not have the gift of tongues) I think my filling of the Holy Ghost came a month or so after my Baptism because I mistook the Presents of the Holy Ghost that was leading me for the promised or indwelling Spirit. When the Apostolic Church Leaders realized what I thought (That I already had the Holy Ghost)They ask me the question "Did you speak in Tongues when you received the Holy Ghost". I said "NO" then they told me that this was the "Sign give in the Bible". I did not believe them at that time, so I continued on till I began to realize that the presence and power that I had felt seem to began to fade. I got afraid and came to believe that they was right. You are right that the regeneration (for us it is the Baptism in Jesus name and Being filled with the Holy Ghost) should come together. This is what happen with my Wife. But there are circumstances that hinder this, read Acts 8:12-17. I hope this helps.

The only time (that I know of) That we have demanded (commanded) that someone be baptized in Jesus name was when Peter did it, after Cornelius, kinsmen and friends received the Holy Ghost. Did he give them a choice? Now, you have a choice.
54 | Jesus name of the Father, Son and H/Ghos | Bible general Archive 2 | cajam | 97367
Baptism is an operation of God not man. It is a work of faith. It is to be obeyed to. It do not fall under Justification it falls under the Regeneration Process.

I am "Apostolic Pentecostal" and I will not only drag you to be baptised in Jesus name but I will Even Pick You up or find someone who will.we do not wait. I am not UPC. Woman can cut their hair for appearance purposes. And can wear paints but (not mens paints). As for the use of the word "Saved" it is a in house (Church) term us to describe those that have been Baptised in Jesus name and Filled with the Holy Ghost. It to not mean You are quaranteed to go to heaven. You name must be written in the Book of Life and only God can do that. So don't be affended by the term. We do not have a heaven or hell to but you in.

Justme, "Holy Ghost" is a term preferred especially among the Pentecostal Churches. And is may have started because of the KJV. We Are aware that it is the "Holy Spirit". But "Holy Ghost" has taken on a meaning all its own in these Churches. When we say "Holy Ghost" we know that this is the spirit of promise of the indwelling spirit. We still use the term "Holy Spirit" when relating to the Old Testament. And no, I am not bound by the KJV. Most all of our Churches use the KJV in Service (Sunday School, Bible Class, Morning Worship etc.) It would be confusing for everyone to have his or her favorite translation in this type of setting. I can not answer your question in the way that you would like regarding the baptism and Church History. Only to say you will understand when you see the Kingdom of God. When it comes to the baptism in Jesus name you are fulfilling Matt 28:20 also. You do not need to understand this to Obey. It is a big mistake to try to understand before you Obey. You must be born of the Water and the Spirit to see the Kingdom of God. I made a mistake by using a lower case R in "rock". This elevate him on a human term (and don't get me wrong this is important)and God knows I did it in error. But God is looking for obedience this is what really honors God. Jesus name in English is accurate enough. It is not just the utterance of the name, but also to know him. Hope this helps.

And may I add Tim, That repentance turns away the wrath of God. Jonah knew this when he was still in His own Country. He knew God and how he would react. God do not change. It is our knowledge of him that falls short.

The word "mind" as it is used here mean, " inclination, determination (of will). It does not mean "knowledge or thinking". Don't forget that God dwells in eternity and not time. He is not caught off guard by anything.

My point is that God statement was conditional. My view is (and I do not mean to split hairs) that in order for God to change His intention (towards Niveveh) then He would have to had been able to destroy it after they had repented. And he could not do that not more than he could tell a lie. He would no longer be God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in kindness, renouncing punishment.

Greeting, Tim I have some (hair) but its pretty gray. Isa 28:9-10 "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little , and there a little. As you can seen Stripture do not have to appear together to be valid. Jer 18:7-8 reads, At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
