1 | If I love do I have eternal life? | Not Specified | bobmoy | 2450
Jesus tells the lawyer before he tells the story of the Good Semaritan that he has eternal life if he loves God, loves his neighbor and loves himself. Is this correct? If this is correct, is there any difference between this eternal life guaranteed to us and the "everlasting life" guaranteed to us in John 3:16 and John 5:24?

4 | is there a specific scripture? | Matthew | bobmoy | 2698
God forgives. God forgives angels, Adam and Eve, and everyone. Faith is knowing that God forgives through grace. The Scripture is Matthew and the Sermon on the Mount. Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
5 | rapture question | Matt 24:27 | bobmoy | 644
The coming of the Son of Man can be an individual experience in each of our spiritual journeys as well as a collective experience near the end of the age. My "ratpure" took place 18 years after I was "born again." My raputre marked the understanding that I can love God, myself, my neighbors and my enemies unconditionally and that I can lay down my life for my Savior, Lord, Master, Friend and King, Jesus the Christ. When I am willing to give up total control to my Lord and do his will and even die for Him, I am "raptured" out of this world. Iam now in the world but not of the world. I am raptured. I love without conditions. I love sacrificially. I belong completely to God.
6 | rapture question | Matt 24:27 | bobmoy | 695
One of the levels that the Book of Revelation that the Holy Spirit reveals to those of us who have the spiritual gift of wisdom and apply the understanding of love to the analysis is that the book can be viewed as a story of the spiritual journey that we take as we "see" the Kingdom of God when we are born again and then proceed to "enter" the Kingdom of God as we evole into the spiritual beings that God wants us to be. Thus the "seven" churches are places on our own individual path to perfect love that we can overcome if we understand what each obstacle is.
7 | Is John 6:66 the answer to 666 riddle? | John 6:66 | bobmoy | 585
Is this verse the answer to the riddle of 666 in Revelation 13:18? The Book of John is the only book in the entire Bible that contains the verse 6:66. If we go back to the previous verse we see that Jesus says to his disciples that "you cannot come to know the Son unless the Father draws you." Now we find that almost all of the disciples leave him because of that verse. He then turns to the 12 and asks them if they will support him. They say "yes." We are the beast when we separate ourselves from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and fail to do his will. This is the nature of the beast and the anti-Christ in all of us. This is our human nature. We are not willing to die for Christ. When we make the commitment to die for Him, we KNOW Him as 6:65 suggests. What do you think?
8 | Is John 6:66 the answer to 666 riddle? | John 6:66 | bobmoy | 3010
I agree with you. Please enjoy this comment about the actual 666 verse in revelation. I gave a number to each letter in our alphabet. A was 1, B was 2, etc. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I added up the numbers in the name of Jesus. The five numbers added up to 74. I know that the opposite of Christ is the anti-Christ (our spiritual nature vs. our human nature). I divided 666 by 74 and obtained the number 9. The letter "I" is the number "9" in the code. I am the anti-Christ in my human nature until I decide to become like Christ. Have a blessed Easter.
9 | If I love do I have eternal life? | Rom 3:28 | bobmoy | 2465
10 | If I love do I have eternal life? | Rom 3:28 | bobmoy | 2549
I agree that faith is the single condition for eternal and everlasting life. The issue is faith in what. Faith in Jesus Christ? Faith in God? Faith in the Holy Spirit? Faith in The Trinity? Faith in a Higher Power? John 3:16 would seem to say Faith in Jesus Christ, the son of God. John 5:24 would seem to say Faith in God, the father of Jesus Christ. I did my own Bible study about the words "eternal life" and "everlasting life." The King James Version used "everlasting life" as the words following John 3:16 and John 5:24. The KJ Version used "eternal life" when Jesus told the lawyer to love God, his neighbor and himself and when Jesus told the rich young ruler to keep the commandments. In my Bible study, I found a suggestion that stated that both "eternal life" and "everlasting life" referred to time. Eternal life referred to the Greek belief that there is only timelessness after we die our physical death and that normal linear time of hours, minutes and seconds no longer exist. On the other hand, everlasting life is the on going experience of time as we know it. Using this explanation, it is my opinion that "everlasting life" is based on knowing by faith that Jesus Christ is the son of God because both God and Jesus tell us that He is the Son of God. "Eternal Life" is based on knowing by faith that God exists and that all of us are forgiven if we ask for forgiveness and if we forgive others. It is my opinion that those of us who "know" that Jesus is the son of God do not have to wait for the end of the age to meet Jesus at the Judgment seat. The other people who do not know that Jesus is the son of God must wait to see Jesus until the end of the age. In both cases, every knee shall bow and every tougue still must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Any thoughts? Have a terrific Thursday.
11 | If I love do I have eternal life? | Rom 3:28 | bobmoy | 2715
John 5:24 says faith in God. Jesus says faith in God. Jesus came to help us find faith in God. One way of having faith in God is to have faith in Jesus Christ. Another way to have faith in God is to live like Jesus. Revelation 19 tells us to Have faith in God because Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophesy. Have a Super Saturday.
12 | If I love do I have eternal life? | Rom 3:28 | bobmoy | 2786
This is exactly what Jesus said. Jesus said I an the Father are one. In John 5:24, Jesus tells me that if I believe in God and if I hear his message about loving others as He loved me, I will have eternal life. Likewise, in John 3:16, Jesus tells us that we need only to believe in Him and we have eternal life. But we also know that faith without works is dead. I must also love. If I do not love, I am nothing. If I love, I am something. Have a Super Sunday?
13 | What is the nature of the beast (666)? | Rev 13:18 | bobmoy | 443
Here is a possible solution for the nature of the beast. What do you think? Assign a number to every letter in our English alphabet. A is 1, J is 10, E is 5, S is 19, U is 21, S is 19, I is 9. Add the numbers in the name of Jesus since he was without sin. Jesus would be the opposite of the beast. The numbers in the name of Jesus add up to 74. Now divide 666 by 74 to get the number of the man or the nature of the beast. The answer is 9. The letter I is 9. I,my human nature, selfishness, am the beast and the nature of the beast. When I am selfish, I am like the animal in all of us. When I love, I am like Jesus the Christ. Thus the verse tells us about ourslves. This is the battle between my human nature and my spiritual nature. When I become born again and receive the additional power that comes entering the Kingdom of God (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) that is now within me, my spiritual nature has great power. By growing in unconditional love, my human nature of being selfish is reduced, eliminated and can be destroyed except for the thorn in my flesh. Would enjoy feedback. Have a delightful day.
14 | Who are the twenty four elders? | Rev 19:4 | bobmoy | 584
According to The Urantia Book, the four and 20 elders are as follows: Onagar, Mansant, Onamonalonion, Orlandof,Porshunta, Singangton, Fantad, Orvonon, Adam, Eve, Enock, Moses, Elijah, Machiventa Melchisedek, John the Baptist, 1-2-3 the First. Seats 17-18-19 and 20 are not permanantly occupied. They are temporarily filled by the unanimous consent of the sixteen permanent members, being kept open for later assignment to ascending mortals from the present post-Jesus age on Earth. Numbers 21-22-23 and 24 are likewise temporatily filled while being held in reserve for the great teachers of other and subsequest ages which undoubtedly will follow the present age. Thanks for asking.
15 | Blue marbles roll faster than red ones | Rev 19:4 | bobmoy | 643
The Urantia Book is believed to be a revelatory book. My opinion is that it could be the "book" that God said would be sealed up until the end as reported in the last chapter of Daniel. The Urantia book also could be one of the two witnesses noted in the book of Revelations. The Bible is the first witness and the Urantia Book is the second witness. The Uranita Books covers the life and teaching of Jesus Christ and uses many sources of information including the notes and diary maintained by the apostle Andrew. I believe the narrative of Jesus that is covered by the Urantia Book lines up with the words of Jesus as quoted in the four Gospels. This is the good news. The bad news is the Urantia Book is also a dangerous book. Because of the amount of information contained in the book, the reader's brain can be overwhelmed and short-circuited if the reader is not grounded in the knowledge that Jesus is the Son of God. Except for the pages devoted to our Master, the rest of the book is information we do not need to know. I use the book at a Bible commentary because it goes into greater detail about the events that took place in the life of Jesus. If you have other questions, please ask.
16 | Blue marbles roll faster than red ones | Rev 19:4 | bobmoy | 693
Please tell me more. The origin of the Urantia Book that I read reportedly came from a group of people in Chicago who submitted questions to a person who responded with the answers from "out there" in the early 1900's. After 30 years of editing the information received from "out there," the first edition was published in 1955. The Urantia Foundation in Chicago is the organization that governs future editions and translations into other languages.
17 | Have you ever looked at Urantia Book? | Rev 19:4 | bobmoy | 757
Have you ever had the courage or faith to look at the Urantia Book?
18 | Blue marbles roll faster than red ones | Rev 19:4 | bobmoy | 759
The Urantia Book in my opinion is a two-edged sword. The information in the first three sections devoted to what takes place in our universe and how we were created is information that we do not need to know. If a reader of the book in not grounded on the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord, the reader will be led astray and follow the path of darkness and his brain circuits will follow the path of the Evil One. If the reader is grounded in the faith of Jesus Christ, the fourth section devoted to the life and teachings of our Master, Friend and King will enhance the reading of the Gospels. The scenes of the life of Jesus unfold before our eyes. I use the fourth section as a Bible commentary to enahance my study of the Scriptures. I have found that the fourth section lines up completely with the words of Jesus in the four Gospels. However you are right. Satan is a master counterfeiter. So unless you go to only the fourth section in the book, you should not go there. Unless you are not grounded in unconditional love, you should not go there. If you are grounded, go to one chapter in section four, read it, and see if it lines up with the Word of God. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

I have been asked to share some information about a revelation-type of document called The Urantia Book. The 2000-plus page publication was published by The Urantia Foundation in 1955. Printings are in quantities of 50,000. About 1,000000 copies have been sold by only word-of-mouth advertising from Urantia readers. According to reports, the book was produced by more than 400 experts who were told to prepare questions for God regarding the need for additional knowledge and understanding in their fields of expertise. These questions were submitted. The answers came from "out there." About half of the book is devoted to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. I have found this half of the book to be accurate and it lines up completely with the words of Jesus that he spoke in The Bible. I use this half of the book as a commentary that helps me with my own Bible study and teaching. That's the good news. The bad news is that Satan is a master counterfeiter. Unless the believer is grounded on his belief that Jesis is the Son of God and that we are hear to love without conditions, the Urantia reader can be led astray with the information contained in the rest of the book. Thus the book can be used for both good and evil. If you decide to look at the book, please do not read it completely. Let the holy spirit lead you to one of the 196 chapters. Read that chapter. Meditate on that chapter. If the holy spirit says go ahead, select another chapter. If you have additional questions about The Urantia Book, please e-mail me at bobmoy@wcnet.org.
