Hi, Nice to meet you. I have some question about marriage. I cannot find a clear explanation of when the beginning of marriage is. However, I know that Christian is not good to divorce. I have married this year but worrying about I have committed adultery. In the past, when I was young, I have a boyfriend. We have been together about 4 years. I have promised him to stay together with him forever (by speaking , without vow). And ,we have called each other " husband and wife" sometimes for playing. However, since I has promised him to stay forever and called him husband sometimes, did this means married in god's eyes? But we never seriously made a real marriage contract which we know married to each other after we agreed with that contract. Finally we break. I and he also have our new boyfriend and girlfriend afterward. Recently, I have married another man. I am worrying that I have been classified to be married with my ex-boyfriend in god's eyes. The problem is I don't know how god classified marriage contract, by just speaking , by vow , or by serious agreement? If yes, then what can I do now? I have married another man. /.__.\ |

Hi Doc, You said that Thus, for instance, when you call one another husband and wife to a third party, you are said to have entered a common-law marriage; which thing is no less binding than an actually marriage. Then if two people called each other husband and wife (without third person here) just for fun or playing, will they count as wife and husband in god's view? Yan |
