61 | How do I forgive adultry if it continues | Bible general Archive 4 | Val | 202152
Again I will again refer you to the scriptures. Notice 2 Sam 12:13 Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has taken away your sin; you shall not die." No matter how much we reason to justify our own mindset we must let scripture speak for itself. The Lord took away David's sin. David continued to live with Bathesheba as his wife. The Lord did not ask David to put away his wife. What you are asking people to do is "put away/divorce" again is a sin. Sin in the church is a different topic. I will let you have the last word. Let us agree to disagree on this specific point. |

I understand. With all honesty though, I have studied Daniel throughly, actually three times inductively. You know how hard that is. What touched me was that these fulfillments in Daniel were literal events. Diving into the details of Daniel there are events that have not transpired. Why would we not take those as events that are going to happen in the future? Literal events? These details are what leds me to my view. I respect anyones view who has sincerely studied. I may not draw the same conclusions. Money motivation is for the Lord to judge. That road probably runs both ways in the millennial views. Don't know. I personally can't see that person's heart so only the Lord is qualified to judge that one rightly. But I understand what your saying we must be careful who we listen to.

There is a saying about the people who make money. They learn all they can about what genuine money looks like. They know it inside out so that when a counterfeit comes along they can spot it immediately. There is no need to study fake money. The one need is to study the Holy Bible and know it inside and out. Of course only the Holy Spirit can enlighten ones reading of the scripture so it is best to bow the knee to Christ the King and believe in his finished work on the cross. Anyone who knows the basics of the christian faith can spot a counterfeit immediately. They do not have to read the counterfeit's books. Christ is above all. John 3:31 "He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Dear Jim, I notice in your posts you refer to "time" a lot. Is this because your into science or math? Is it your point that if its not percisely 72 hours it is not true? Are you saying that Christ is not the Messiah? I don't understand why this is so important to you? Blessings, Val |

Thank you for clearing that up Jim. What truths have you discovered that are "counter to the common held view". I would be interested in those. As to your interest in time it would help to see where you are coming from. I believe the 3 days and 3 nights has long been debated. In my view, I believe the whole counsel of God is to be considered and those things that we don't understand are understood in light of the whole bible. Sorry if I offended you, that was not my intentions. I was just wondering where you were coming from. I don't believe we are meant to know everything. That is just my personal opionion. Blessings, Val |

Dear Jim, You said I believe with all my heart that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. I also believe he was saying exactly what he meant. We can see from the whole counsel of God that what Jesus "meant" by these words; 3 days and 3 nights is the gospel message; His death, burial and resurrection. My point is that if in this particular phrase (3 days and 3 nights) we have trouble with the timeing: it is as you say; it is due to a wrong interpretation. In other words when we cannot interpret it (understand it) - it is considered a difficult passage - therefore; we interpret the difficult passages (in this case the percise timeing) in light of the obvious passages (the death, burial and resurrection found throughout the whole counsel of God). Blessings, Val |
