45 | why no meat in the wilderness? | Ex 16:3 | Susan B Lange | 236273
"sacrifice" means "to make sacred" Life is sacred, even the lives of animals is sacred. The Torah laws regarding the rituals of sacrifice were not given yet. Adam and Eve were vegetarian, meat wasn't eaten til after the flood and the only dietary law was the prohibition against the consumption of blood which means you don't eat meat raw. An animal had to be slain as humanely as possible so it didn't suffer.

Loving your enemies is a new testament concept. In the old there was "enmity"-hostility or hatred between the wicked and the righteous. Gen. 3:15. This is the main reason bad things happen to good people-the wicked do wicked things to the righteous because they hate them, theres a couple other reasons too. The enemies of God will be burnt up and sent to hell. Ps. 37:20

Unmarried sex is a sin. It can be whoredom, rape, incest or adultery. If people would follow these laws, there would be no need for abortion except for the life of the mother. In a perfect world this will disappear.
