41 | Reconciliation after Divorce- Burning ? | Ps 15:1 | One | 66672
Ps 15:1-4A Psalm of David. O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart...But who honors those who fear the LORD; He swears to his own hurt and does not change; Let me first urge you to see a good Christian counselor in your area wherever you are. I was a full time minister for awhile and know it can be dangerous to make recommendations to people with out all the information. It is so hard to answer this because I can just see the pain in your question and realize is must be humbling to open your self up this way. To try and answer your question I think it is good, when possible, to go back to you spouse. Here is why: marriage is a convent between God, your spouse and you. God wants us to keep our convents. With that said please see someone who is a Christian consoler in your area. PS I wish I could reach through and give a hug! Your heart is good when you ask, "What does God want?" |

43 | Reconciliation from near or afar | Ps 15:1 | One | 66807
Jenny it has been about two years since I left full time ministry. What happened left a hole in my soul. A very rich person moved to the area and began attending the Church I was preaching at. He began whispering behind my back saying I was too young to be a minister. To make a long story short I was let go in the middle January, the coldest part of the year in Minnesota. On top of this I was not give and severance nor did anyone ever call to check up on me. I really wasn’t sure how my family and I would make it. A few days after this a walked out to the mailbox and there was a check from someone I never met for 300.00 dollars, the note said I am so sorry what happened to you. I hope this can help. The checks continued once it was much as a 1,000.00 dollars. Keep in mind from people I have never met in my life. The day I started my current job the checks stooped as mysteriously as they started. I said that to make a point GOD will open doors and harts to provide for His children. It loots to me that God has opened a door for you and your spouse to get back together. Here is the course I would suggest. 1. Find a church where you are now and ask to pray over this with the leaders. God will guide you in this! Open up to them some so they can help you make the right decision. Hebrews 5:14 has this to say, “But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.” Right now you need someone who is spiritual mature to help guide you, someone who can see clearly what’s good and what’s not in order to decide to move now or not. 2. If you move back I feel it’s not good to jump right back into the thick of things take your time. See a consoler as soon as you can. Date each other, but only each other, allow the feeling you had at first to rekindle. Then when the time is right, a counselor can guide you in this, renew your vows and move back in together. God Bless |

44 | Reconciliation from near or afar | Ps 15:1 | One | 66839
Jenny please don’t misunderstand what I am saying. I didn’t say take it slow to say see if it works out. What I am saying is slow down to not make a bad situation worse. Another reason I didn’t just say go back to him with out reservations is I have done a lot of counseling myself and have seen husband who beat their wives. I think it is important, in cases like this, for the husband to get those issues resolved before reconciliation is made. I hope you understand now why I had reservation, it is for your protection and for the health of your marriage I made the suggestions I did. I hope consoling goes well.
45 | What does the candle or lamp signify? | Prov 20:27 | One | 70242
Prov 20:27 The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, Searching all the innermost parts of his being. The lamp here refers to a mans spirit that reveals to God all things. So lamp refers to spirit and spirit of a man refers to a persons conscience in this passage. Here is another passage were sprit can mean conscience. 1 Cor 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? |

46 | Answer or not? Proverbs 26:4,5 | Prov 26:4 | One | 73487
I think Jesus gave us an example of the answer to this question when He answerd the the leaders trying to trick Him, not as they wanted, but answerd in wisdom. Luke 20:22 "Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" Luke 20:23 But He detected their trickery and said to them, Luke 20:24 "Show Me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?" They said, "Caesar's." Luke 20:25 And He said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Luke 20:26 And they were unable to catch Him in a saying in the presence of the people; and being amazed at His answer, they became silent. |

47 | do pets go to heaven? | Eccl 3:21 | One | 71159
Eccl 3:21 Who knows that the breath of man ascends upward and the breath of the beast descends downward to the earth? Eccl 12:7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it As a theologian I see from scriptures all dogs don’t go to heaven. As a pet owner, like your self, I can’t help but to think God may brink back for us our special pets to live with us in heaven. |

48 | How can God change his mind? | Jer 18:10 | One | 73082
I have been married 15 years now and I have a daughter that is nine years old. My daughter is bad about leaving Barbie dolls around the living room. Once I told her if she left her Barbies’ lying around the living room I would put them up. Keep in mind I was 100 percent sure she would do this some time in the future. So why didn’t I just scoop up her Barbies’ and put them in the closet? I think the answer is obvious the warnings, admonishments, and punishments we give our children are not because we lack understanding it is because they do. It is not for our benefit but for theirs. Keep in mind the whole purpose in God saying I’ll do this or that is to change our behavior, just like parents do with are kids. |

49 | Was Daniel a eunuch? | Ezek 14:14 | One | 73589
It really not all that clear many think Isa 39:7 refers to Daniel and the Hebrew children and in some versions it says they where made eunuchs which differs from the NASB "they were made officials." Others use the verses below to show he did have children. Those who believe Daniel was a eunuch say Ezekel was using this as an example saying more or less even if Daniel had sons or daughters they could not be save by Daniel’s righteousness, which is possible. Ezek 14:14 even though these three men, Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, by their own righteousness they could only deliver themselves," declares the Lord GOD. Ezek 14:20 even though Noah, Daniel and Job were in its midst, as I live," declares the Lord GOD, "they could not deliver either their son or their daughter. They would deliver only themselves by their righteousness." |

50 | Has the time arrived to believe in Him? | Dan 7:22 | One | 70632
Dan 7:13 "I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. How can this refer to an event in our future? It says the Son of Man came "to" the acient of days not "From" the ancient of days if it were speaking of Jesus and His comeing He would becoming "FROM" God not to God. |

51 | Has the time arrived to believe in Him? | Dan 7:22 | One | 70649
Again look at what this says on the clouds He is not coming "FROM" the Ancient of days, He is comming to the Ancient of Days. I think your right when you speak of this being in the Jews future. I think it is inccorect to see it relating to us because then it would have to read He come FROM the ancient of days. To me is is interesting how people make so many passages relate to Christ second commimg when Christ had not even had His first comming. The Jews in the OT were not looking, expecting or hoping for His second comming they were looking for His first comming. To me what Daniel says refers to the comming of the church only. |

52 | Has the time arrived to believe in Him? | Dan 7:22 | One | 71055
Sorry I was so long in getting back. I have not been at work for several days during the holidays. Yes, I do believe in the trinity. I do see distinct roles here, I see the Son of Man as Christ, the Ancient of Days as the Father and the Spirit as the one revealing this vision. To make the Son of Man as referring to the trinity you have the Godhead coming to its self. I feel the way I explained it above is more likely, although it is in many ways difficult to separate the trinity.
53 | I Love Jesus | Dan 8:14 | One | 68764
I don't feel we do. To me the Bible is God's prefect revelation, all sufficient. Paul said in 1Cor 13:8 that prophecies etc would cease when the perfect comes. Now there are a number of people who would and probably will disagree with me, I will not argue with them. That said, when I have spoke with people who say they have had visions I don't try to convince them they did see what they thought they did. What I do say is that if a vision tells you something different than what is in the Bible, reject it! Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! |

54 | Jesus died go do what? | Matthew | One | 66817
One thin about your post: Yes, Jesus was separated from the Father at the cross for how long we don’t know. However let us notice His body was still on the cross, He later says, “Father into your hands I commit my spirit." So I don’t think we can say His spirit was in hell there since it never left His body and was committed to the Father. So where did Jesus go when He died? I feel the following passages answer that. Heb 9:11 ff But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Heb 9:24 For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; |

55 | Matthew 15:26-27 | Matthew | One | 70438
Matt 15:22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is cruelly demon-possessed." Matt 15:23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, "Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us." Matt 15:24 But He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matt 15:25 But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, "Lord, help me!" Matt 15:26 And He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." Matt 15:27 But she said, "Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." Matt 15:28 Then Jesus said to her, "O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed at once. To get the full picture of what is happening you have to read the context. The woman who asked this was a gentile and Jesus was going to the Jews. Why would Jesus go to Jews first? The Jews were looking for a Messiah the Gentiles were not, with the Jews Jesus had a lead in. It still leaves us with the puzzling question of, “Why is Jesus so hard on this lady?” Now keep in mind the Bible does not say so this is a matter of opinion. I think Jesus did this because he knew the persistent heart she had. He wanted to show off her faith and by doing that show others the faith He wants and expects. |

56 | are we allowed to eat meat or not. | Matt 5:17 | One | 69370
Just a footnote the animals that are considered unclean require better cooking in order not to make some one sick. Take pork for example it would be very easy for someone to get trichinosis from pork using old nomadic cooking techniques.
57 | please explain this verse | Matt 9:16 | One | 70467
There are cultural things we must know to understand this passage. First fasting was often, but not always, done as a sign of morning. The second thing we must understand is the context. Johns disciples are asking why are you disciples not fasting, it is possible John the Baptist could be imprisoned at that time. So it is like they are saying John is in prison why are you’re disciples not mourning? To which Jesus responds the bridegroom (Him) is still with them. Jesus then says, basically, His disciples will not fast until He goes away ie dies or goes into heaven. |

58 | What does bind and loose mean in Matthew | Matt 16:19 | One | 68540
I like the NASB on this passage and find it the most accurate translation of this passage. It say, “What ever you bind will have been bound in heave and what ever you loose will have been loosed in heaven.” What was bound and loosed? The laws governing the Old and New covenant. Heb 9:15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Look at what has been changed. Circumcision Gen 17:10 "This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised. Gal 2:3 But not even Titus, who was with me, though he was a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised. Sacrifices Heb 10:4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. So Jesus when He died brought in a New covenant with rules different than the old and I was up to the disciples to teach the differences. We could site many more! |

60 | Do all little ones believe? | Matt 18:6 | One | 66569
When you say David was born in sin you might want to consider the following verse: Ps 22:10 Upon You I was cast from birth; You have been my God from my mother's womb. David like any good writer uses literary devices. When he say "Behold I was shapen in iniquity” he was using a exaggeration for effect. How can I say this so confidently? Consider another verse Ps 139:13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. Therefore to me I look at what David says very differently. Also if children are not innocent of sin why does Jesus say Matt 18:3 and said, Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. As to some of your passages you quote about children being punished for what tier parents did yes this does happen. However look at it from a practical stand point could you see Lot trying to lead every ones children out of the city of Sodom with out there parents? I look at it like this if I go out and become a drunk lose my job, house, wife, life ect. Does my children suffer for my malfeasants? Yes! Are they guilty for my sins? I will let the prophet answer this. Ezek 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die. Ezek 18:20 The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. |
