61 | Temple of the Holy Spirit | 1 Cor 6:19 | Ngop | 105438
Emmaus, Greetings and thank you for your response. But God dwells in the flesh of Jesus because Jesus' flesh is not from dust. It is the Word made flesh ( John 1:1 ). In the Temple of Jerusalem, God's glory not God dwells in it ( I think; not so sure ).And in Exodus 25:8, God dwells among the people not in the Tabernacle. It think it means, God's presence was with them. And if I may add, in Roman 7:14, our flesh is sold as slave to sin. God and sin are like oil and water that will never mix. How will then the Holy Spirit dwells in our sinful body. God bless Ngop |

63 | Can you be a Pastor if you are divorced? | 1 Tim 3:5 | Ngop | 76894
The scripture is very clear when it comes to divorce, Mark 10:5-9. Regarding "husband of one wife" in 1 Tim 3:2, if the reason for divorce is not marital unfaithfulness ( Matt 5:31-32 ), and the person marries another, then that person has two wives. The first marriage remains in God's eyes. But just a reminder, serving God is not just being a pastor. One can serve in other ways. One of the reasons for the restriction as mentioned above ( husband of one wife ) is Romans 9:32-33, "a stumbling stone". God's Grace, NGOP |

68 | Inspired by the Holy Spirit | 2 Tim 3:16 | Ngop | 80735
Greetings, If we say the Scripture was written thru the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, can we assume that the other writings of the same author ( i.e. John, Peter , Paul etc ) which were not included in the Bible not inspired by the Holy Spirit? In Christ Jesus Ngop |

70 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | Ngop | 78776
Sniper, Greetings! "What does it take to believe that there is a God?" A revelation from God Himself ( Matt 16:17) "How does one know that there is a God?" By looking around ( Psalm 8 ) "Other than philosophical arguments what is the evidence that there is God?" Darwin's theory of Evolution remains a Theory ( Genesis 1: 27 ) "How does a person born in the most remote wilderness know that there is a God to be sought after?" Thru us ( Matthew 28: 19 ) Does it ultimately come down to faith? Yes ( Proverb 3:5 ) God Bless, Ngop |

71 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | Ngop | 78909
Sniper, Greeting in Christ our Lord. "If a person knows that there is a God, then don't they believe that there is a God?" Not necessarily. A lot of people know that there is God but they do not believe in Him. Or say, they just wouldn't bother. "Do you also consider creation to be revelation from God Himself? If so, then it makes sense to me." If one sees peace and harmony in the creation, then it is a revelation from God. Some people see creation a big messed up thing, you know. I think you misunderstood me about the Darwin Theory. What I meant about it is " It remains a theory and never further proven thus is NOT a FACT yet. Regarding your last question, Yes, that is the way I see it or say, I look at it. God bless, Ngop |

72 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | Ngop | 78981
Disciplerami, Greetings in Christ Jesus, Indeed, quite a puzzle. Knowing there is God and believing there is God. My opinion is "knowing" is more on knowledge while "believing" is more on a state of mind. In the following example you'll see my understanding: I know my wife is at home ( factual statement ) while I believe my wife is at home ( analytical ). God bless Ngop |

73 | What does "being a homosexual" mean? | 1 John 3:9 | Ngop | 91904
Brother Radioman2, You said "No, it is not possible for a homosexual to carry out God's will". I believe what you meant was because of the committed homosexual sins, a person will not be able to carry out God's will. My point is aren't all sins, homosexual or not make a person not able to carry out God's will? Will this make all of us not possible to be Christians? Like what you did, I have to put this note, my intention is pure i.e. to gain knowledge and have a healthy exchange of ideas and definitely not to attack or insult or ridicule anybody. I used to get into this forum on and off without any fear. I wish I am just being paranoid. If I am not, can't you and other senior members of this forum do something about what is happening. God Bless, Ngop |

74 | What is happening here? | 1 John 3:9 | Ngop | 91985
Brother Radioman2, You got it right. I was referring to the abusive, irresponsible postings coming out lately. It is very ironic. We call ourselves Christians and yet our forum has this exchange. Like what you said, there is nothing we can do. Well, as usual, we just have to pray for the return of the forum back to a more Christian like attitude. Your brother in Christ, Ngop |
