1 | Are there alternate worlds? | Not Specified | Mephibosheth | 68307
What does the Bible say about the existence of alternate worlds? I'm pretty sure that it doesn't mention any and that it always uses "the earth" and "the world" as singular nouns, which indicates that there is only one world, but I could be missing something. Please enlighten me.
2 | What happened when Jesus died? | Not Specified | Mephibosheth | 71369
I was reading the differing accounts of Christ's crucifixion, and I noticed some strange differences between them, specifically where they refer to Jesus' moment of death. Matthew refers to Him crying out "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matt 27:46), as does Mark, but Luke says His last words are "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit" (Luke 23:46) and John records His last words as "It is finished" (John 19:30). What were His actual last words? All these same to take place at the same time. Also, every gospel talks about how, at the moment of His death, the world was covered in darkness, but they also talk about how it was dark from the 6th to the 9th hour, at which time Jesus died. How can a world covered in darkness be covered in more darkness? Please help me straighten out these apparent contradictions and any others you might find in this section of the Gospels that I might have missed.
