4 | God Punished New Orleans with Katrina | Bible general Archive 4 | Hancock | 209300
To answer your question I would have to say no God did not send Katrina to punish New Orleans. First off we do not have a viscious God. God would never be so cruel. It is stated in (Job 34:10)" So listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do evil, from the Almighty to do wrong." Second you have to look at who is in control of this world. As it is stated in (1 John 5:19)"We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one." God has given us freewill to choose his path or the other. God will judge us but only when the time comes. As it is stated in (Revelation 20:11-15)"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyones name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." I dont know if this fully answers your question but I would be happy to research some more to give you a better understanding. Good luck and God bless.

6 | Is Christmas wrong...... | Bible general Archive 4 | Hancock | 210133
This is a note for Hank. I feel along the same lines that you do. I dont see anything wrong with Christmas but the way and reason people celebrate it are totally wrong (in my opinion). Some where along the way we have lost the true reason for it. Now, my wife was raised as Jehovha Wittness. I have heard the reasoning for them not to celebrate Christmas and it does make sense. When I look at it from my point of veiw I dont find anything wrong with it at all as long as we do it for the right reasons. I really liked your reply and thankyou for it. God bless Hancock |
