341 | Big mouthed Christian, or no? | Rom 14:12 | GeorJoy | 89993
If I weren't to accept your apology, then I couldn't ask you to accept mine, which I do, for you have just described one of my biggest faults as well... And my feelings are as yours, for this is not the way I wish to be perceived Oddly enough, this past Wednesday, just prior to services, our preacher was telling how he wanted to rebuke someone evangelizing at another preachers church which he was visiting, but for the sake of the other preacher, he didn't. Our associate preacher hadn't heard what the preacher said before the service. In his sermon, the associate preacher delivered something to this affect; " Everyone worries about hurting someone’s feelings. If what they are doing is against Gods word, then it is a Christians (duty) to inform them of Gods word, whether it hurts their feelings or not." This is what (I, George) have read in the word. Some would say that one preacher had contradicted or rebuked the other. I see no contradiction. I do see something therein that could almost be referred to as rebuke in the associates message. However, I simply can't say. What are your feelings, thoughts and scriptural foundations for such, on this matter? I invite anyone who is "Spiritually Mature" to respond this question. Please, back up whatever you "State as fact," with scripture (NOT an interpretation thereof.) If it is opinion, forgive me, but I'm simply not interested. Yes, I am BLUNT. Sometimes too blunt. I normally get the attention of others though; with my "cave man" method. I like to think of it as the same method used by John the Baptist. Of course, he lost his head over it. Paul was hated by many. And he was not as blunt as I. They both lost their lives because of their mouths. Wouldn't you say that some have to be hit hard to get their attention? My posts seem to hit many very hard. I doubt that any will die due to my posts, but hopefully some will live due to what they may have learned therein. Medicine does not often taste good, but it is a necessary tool for healing, if and only if the person taking it takes it as it was intended, NOT, as in their opinion it was intended. As the Doctor prescribed! I'm not the Doctor. I'm not even the Nurse. I am only one who delivers the medicine. If the patient doesn’t like my method of delivery, does that mean that he should not take the medicine? I’d say, it’s his health! If he don’t like me, let him get someone else. There are those who do like me. God gave me this big mouth of mine. He also gave me scripture, and if He can't use my big mouth combined with His word, to His benefit, then He AIN't GOD! But HE IS! AND I pray that He will. I also pray that if it is His will, which I believe it is, He will teach me how to control it and when to (and not to) open it!!! And anyone who would agree with that on my part, should ponder for themselves as well. Lord, help us all! cuz here we go again... George |

342 | Scriptural reference to Book of Jasper? | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89904
Dosen't bother me. That's what I said about the "Apocro-whatever." It is interesting to know though. Ed, I'd bet you've forgotten more than most of us herein will ever know... Personally, I have enough to learn as it is, without having to worry about one someone didn't figure was important enough to mention more than twice in the other 66. One could question and speculate all night. In the end, they wouldn't be any closer to the truth than in the beginning. What a waste of time that one could have used to study what is inportant. Thanks George |

344 | Searching for the truth | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89901
I sincerely appologize to all if I have been coming across in the manner you suggest. When one states a point concerning scripture as it were fact, I tend to rebut in what some would consider an overly stressful manor. I am trying to gain control of this spirit. Who is to say that Enoch and Eliga have escaped the curse? (Now, please don't take this statement as it appears. Take it spiritually.) Who is to say their curse is not yet to come in the end days? This of course is a fleeting thought on my part and as I am not an authority on Revelations, I have nothing other than a theory. George |

We have so far to go. So much to do, and so little time to do it in. We should all just give up on ourselves and follow Jesus! Why can't we do that? There is no me; no you; only Him, in which we are all one. Oh what a day that will be! Thank you Rich George |

346 | Scriptural reference to Book of Jasper? | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89893
Which Translation are you using Ed? I only found 7 references to "jasper" in my KJ. They all related to the jasper stone. None to a "book of jasper." Did I miss something somewhere? EX 28:20; EX 39:13; Eze 28:13; Rev 4:3; Rev 22:11; Rev 21:18; Rev 21:19. George |

I was going to ignore your last such request. However, I am truly saddened that you are so personally offended. I will not argue the point. This is twice now you have suggested I leave this sight. If you are so filled with guilt by the word of truth that you have taken so much that I have quoted from the word as a (personal) attack (when it was not intended as such,) that you should scorn me with such blasphemies, I would respectfully request that you neither read nor respond to my posts. I don’t claim to be perfect. What I state is biblical and not up for anyones interpretation. I would also inform you that, unless this sight belongs to you personally, I have just as much right to it as yourself. End of discussion. Respectfully George |

348 | Are we Stupid or Lazy? Our Soul at stak | Rom 14:12 | GeorJoy | 89880
Reworded thoughts... I really mis-worded my thoughts in this post. My thanks to Smythe for pointing it out. I claim responsibility for any confusion. My intent was that all should "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.. 2Ti 2:15 Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So, no I did not intend to say we were to leave people to fend for themselves. What I meant to say was that not only should one consider Rom 10:17, but they should also consider 2Ti 2:15 , for (2Pe 2:1) there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. You are right Schmythe. The way I worded it, this post does contradict itself. I really mis-worded my thoughts therein. I hope I have clarified my Error. George |

350 | Are we Stupid or Lazy? Our Soul at stak | Rom 14:12 | GeorJoy | 89878
You are correct 100 percent. I am wrong! However, we each have our own gift. We each are more mature in various gifts than others. In this and other matters, I am still growing. There is no doubt in my mind that if the Lord intends me to fan the flame, He will use me to do just that. Thanks George |

351 | Judgement or Discernment? | Rom 14:12 | GeorJoy | 89877
I really don't care whether anyone agrees with me or not. You have a right to your words. WE, myself included have a right; even a responsibility to spread "THE WORD." If it offends you, or you can't reconize it. So be it. Who's fault is that? If you had understood what I was saying, you would have understood what I said. I would suggest, Schmythe that you concern yourself more with your own prayer life and direction, rather than that of others. I will be held responsible for me. Likewise, you yourself. It would be to your benifit as well, if you were to concern yourself about the argumentative spirit you exuded in your note. We all have such a spirit. The wise control it. Fools let it control them. (I'm not calling you a fool.) I perfer wisdom. I'm sure you do too. Forgive me, there are times that test my control of that, spirit as well. I say this not to offend, for it is the fool who hates rebuke. (KJV)Pro 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? God Bless George |

Very interesting. But what about Moses, whos contenance was such that no one could look on him, and he literally had to cover his face after his visit with the Lord. And then there is Jacob, who "wrestled with the Lord. There was someone else who said, " I have seen thy face and lived. It is only icing on top of the cake. Brothers with differing opinions are still brothers. George |

354 | Hell not created for man? | Matt 25:41 | GeorJoy | 89815
The Lord (is) the only one who fully knows everything! Some things He has given us to know. Others He has witheld. Still others, He intends for us to seek out. I simply contend that the safest place is "The Word." There is nothing wrong with asking and listening. For; Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But remember the times in which you live, for; Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. God Bless George |

355 | Searching for the truth | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89809
You stated, "Since it says the only way to the Father is through Jesus, this may have allowed him to take them up. I would be interested to know what you think in regards to this. Also I have read other posts by you and I must say you do seem to speek with a spiritual knowledge. I pray that what you pass on brings others closer to God. God bless." IF ONE NEVER REMENBERS ANY OTHER WORD I SAY, I PRAY THAT THEY WILL REMEMBER THIS... IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT I OR ANYONE ELSE "THINKS" WHERE THE (WORD OF GOD) IS CONCERNED. IT ONLY MATTERS (WHAT) THE WORD OF GOD IS, AND WHETHER OR NOT IT IS IN THE HEART. FOR (YOU) AND (YOU) ALONE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ETERNAL SOUL. I AM ONLY A MESSENGER. I GIVE THANKS AND PRAISE TO HE WHO ORIGINATED THAT WHICH I SO HUMBLY DELIVER, THE GOD OF GODS; FATHER OF MY SAVIOR, FOR ALL WHO WOULD RECIEVE. Actually, you misinterpret the fact that “the only way to the Father is through Jesus.” Jesus Christ died for our sins. If we know Him, we know the Father. If we know not the Son, likewise we know not the Father. The only way to the to the Father is through the Son. In other words. We must not only believe in Jesus (for Satan himself believes in him,) but we must also believe what He said and strive to live according to His teachings. The greatest of which is “to love your neighbor as yourself.” Jesus himself said this. (BNB) Mat 22:39 The second most important commandment is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' If this is the second most important commandment, I wonder what the first one was…. So… I seriously doubt that Enoch and Elijah were taken up by Jesus, for He hadn’t even been born yet. Thus, this occurrence is irrelevant to the fact that “says the only way to the Father is through Jesus.” I hope my feeble explination is adequate to solve your curiosity, but I would challenge you to get into the word and verify what I have said. (KJV) 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. George |

357 | Searching for the truth | 1 Thess 4:17 | GeorJoy | 89794
Actually Schmythe, I am often a phonetic speller. I may spell it like it sounds; I may even hit a wrong key and overlook it when I proof read. The truth of the matter is that perhaps my spell checker (which I don't always use,) which happens to be man made is less than perfect; for it still finds no misspellings in the post you responded to. I do believe that, (Lord willing,) I manage to get my point across in an biblical and legible manor. It would take me a week to point out all the typo's I've overlooooked in this thread alone. But rather, I prefer to try to see around my "mote," and in my ignorant way, do my best to help those who will hopefully one day help others find their way to He who, I hope is the Ultimate goal of all who read my imperfect words. I often copy and paste as well. I do not make any attempt of corrections therein. Thank you for your kind and uplifting words. I pray that if you ever read anything from my hand that you consider out of line with the Holy Bible, you will challenge me to provide a scriptural foundation for what I have worded. Who knows, we may both learn something. I will be the first to admit ignorance when confronted by truth. As far as I am concerned, “If it can’t be backed with scripture, it’s only opinion.” Some are interesting. Some aren’t worth the paper they are written on. At the risk of sounding BLUNT; I ask no forgiveness, but I could care less about yours or anyone else’s opinion when it comes to the word of God. Where the Word is concerned, I try not to form opinions. I do however have theories where my biblical studies are lacking, but at the risk of flaunting my ignorance, I prefer to keep my mouth shut till I am sure of my theory. Per Webster Opinion: a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter Theory: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another. Thanks And God Bless George |

Yea, but (how) have you come to this conclusion? Can you back it up with scripture? If not, you may be right, but you could also be wrong. Are you just throwing the dice, or playing with a full house. What if there is a Flush out there? Actually searching333, you have hit the nail on the head. What I am trying to say is; don't trust others to provide (all) your spiritusl nourishment. You could eventually wind up with a bellie ache if you do. Tilling and planting ones own garden is a very rewarding experience. The harvest is so much more desirable than anything anyone else can provide. the more you do it, the better you become. The dead in Christ shall rise first. Anyone claiming any other gospel is a false prophit. However... This has nothing to do with your original question, which was: "According to the Bible, the penality for sin is death. Therefore, every human being must die! Did God make an exception for Elijah to escape death? Your comments, please." --- If you are seriously asking a question, I have given you the biblical answer, which was; "Death of the body is not what this scripture refers to. If it were, once you died, the penalty for your sins would be paid. The death the scripture refers to here is "Eternal Damnation in the lake of fire." If I am not badly mistaken, this is also referred to as the second death." --- What you have just stated was totally out of context with your original question. Since it has already been answered, any further discussion on this particular question would be senseless. God Bless George |
