Brother Tim, Praise be to our God who parted the waters allowing His children to pass through on dry ground! Praise be to our God who brought forth water from a rock and in the dry desert! Praise be to our God who brought down the walls of Jericho when the trumpets wre blown and a great noise went out to Him! Your post came through when I was cycling. I read it when I was finished but had to get ready for work. However, prayer for you and yours was immediate and continues. Please know that I share your burden in my heart and not just with spoken or typed words. Always your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

103 | Do all little ones believe? | Matt 18:6 | Cyclist | 66756
Charis, Great is the Lord our God who say's "heaven is My thrown and the earth is My footstool"! Great is the Lord our God who's eyes are everywhere beholding both the evil and the good! Great is the Lord our God! Praise His holy name! Thank you for bearing with me brother! Here I go again with more questions. If I'm getting carried away or off course, please write to me "OK Cyclist you are now getting carried away and off course." What do you think of this verse? Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." If those destined for God's kingdom were not born saved, from what or where were we lost? Surely at some point we were in the flock before we were lost or we would not be lost. At what point do you suppose that was? And what of this verse, Are babies/infants part of the everyone? Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. And finally, what do think of theses verses? Luke 9:55 But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; Luke 9:56 for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."] And they went on to another village. Here's another thing. In the Old Testament, sacrifices were made for the sins of all of Israel. Did that include the infants/babies? And yet another question. If I'm reading correctly, in the Old Testament, those that were under the age of 20 would inherit the promise land. Was 20 the age of accountability then? If I know children correctly, they mimick their parents and may have spoke out against God as their parents did, but, God was merciful to them and allowed them to enter the promised land. Well, time to get ready to jump on the bicycle. In Christ Jesus our Lord, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

cwade, Who is like our God? He is loving and kind and righteous! He is the creator of all things in heaven and earth! There is none like Him for He is perfect! Praise be to the Lord our God! Thank you for your kind post. I respect your descision to withdraw from this thread, however, please do not consider length of salvation as a mark for level of maturity in the loving spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ and the knowledge of the word of God. I lived on "milk" for a number of years and have not yet developed into what I consider to be an "elder" in Christ. I thank you for considering me to be one though. Please feel free to jump in on any question or comment I post to the forum, in fact, I encourage it! Always your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

cwade, The Lord our God fills my heart with joy! I will praise Him whenever and wherever I can! for He is good! I will praise the God of my salvation all the days of my life! I stand corrected cwade! I did say that I was still searching in the forum for my question. In fact, I did indeed ask two questions! Shame on you Cyclist! Bless you and answer either or both of them when you want to, or, not at all. My apologies for appearing pushy. My favorite command from Jesus;"That you love one another as I have loved you." Isn't it wonderful to be part of the family of God?! Isn't it wonderful to be a member of this forum?! In Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! cwade, The Lord is my rock and my strentgh! I will put my trust in the Lord my God for He is the great I AM! Blessed be the name of the Lord forever! You wrote:"We know we cannot lose our salavation, right? So if all babies are saved, would not all adults be saved? If not, at what point did the babies "lose their salvation"?" What do you think of this verse? Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." If those destined for God's kingdom were not born saved, from what or where were we lost? Surely at some point we were in the flock before we were lost or we would not be lost. In addtion cwade, You have not answered my question to you from a previous post. Will you? Please, please do not ever take questions from me as a challenge. I have never and will never ask questions to put any member of this forum "on the spot", and, I will gladly and in the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ accept correction from any of my forum elders if it appears that way. My questions are all motivated by my eagerness to learn more and understand more of God's word. In the Lord Jesus, our Savior and Lord, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! 109 | Of course I'm bitter! You would be too. | 1 Cor 7:5 | Cyclist | 66652
mpa, All praise and glory and honor be to God our Father who created the heavens and the earth and the seas and all that there is therein, things not made with hands! And to Jesus Christ God's only begotten Son who thought not of Himself but gave His life for our sins, who's name is named above every name in heaven and earth! Welcome to the forum! This is a wonderful place to study God's word! There are many here on this forum that are regulars that are very knowledgable of the word of God, very loving, and are concerned for the needs of all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Unfortunately, it is difficult, even for the elders of this forum, to offer or provide counselling. Noting that your are obvioulsy angry and bitter, I'm sure that any advise given to you from us would not be accepted. We can only provide what is written in God's word, our interpretaion of it, sometimes commentary from noted authors, prayer for your situation, and a love for you as a brother in Christ. Please seek a Christian counselor or Pastor to help you. I shall pray for you. In the love of Christ Jesus our Lord, your brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

110 | Do all little ones believe? | Matt 18:6 | Cyclist | 66638
Charis, I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart and will glorify His name forever! Glory to the Lord most high! He alone is worthy! Thank you so much for taking time to share with me on this subject. I think that it is wonderful, and I am so thankful, for people like yourself who will take time for one like me who does not have time available, nor the resources, to study the depth of God's word. If you will, please bear with me because I will be asking more questions. Here is another one; Are we born with an awareness of God our creator? In addition, I look forward to a post from you after you have looked over your physical resources regarding my last question. If you are not able to continue our discussion due to other obligations, I understand. It is not my intent to be a burden or to take time away from your work for our Lord. I have prayed that our Father continue to bless you as you share Jesus in your ministry. In Him, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

charis, Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised! Great is the Lord because He is merciful! great is the Lord because He is loving! Great is the Lord because He is kind! Great is the Lord because He is righteous! I've been searching the forum on this subject. I've heard (read) from both sides of the table. Still letting it "soak in". Just an added question while I still think on this. In the verses below, could it be that Jesus is speaking of those that are unbelievers and are pregnant because the babies will be taken at the time of which He speaks? Matt 24:19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 2 Mark 13:17 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! Luke 21:23 "Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people; What do the commentaries say on these verses? Bless you brother! I visited your web sight. Bless you for the work that you do! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

cwade, My heart is filled with praise to the Lord when I rise in the morning! I sing songs of praise to Him early in the morning! Blessed be the name of the Lord! Please accept my apology. owade, Blessed be the Lord our God who keeps His children in His protective hands! Blessed be the Lord for deliverance from sin! Blessed be the Lord our God who created each one of us in accordance with His will! Thanks for the input. I've done some forum searching and have heard (read) from both sides of the table. I'm taking time to let it "soak in". As the Searcher wrote once "I wish God would have just said it clearly." (Maybe not exact words. Forgive me Searcher if not.) There are a couple of questions that have come to mind. I have searched for an answer for the first one but saw no postings on it in the forum. It goes like this: If a child is saved because the parents are saved and are raising the child in the word and spirit of God, Is the child saved if the parents are not saved but the grandparent(s) is? For example I read the BIBLE and tell stories of Jesus to my grandchildren, and, have sung hymns and praises to our Father to them. Are they unsaved because the parent is? The other question is; Are we born with knowledge of God our creator? You don't have to answer that one, I will search the forum. I don't like to waste space nor other's time here on the forum. Well, I have just been given another week long project at the office. Man! I was active here for about three whole days! Now it's back to the grind stone. I will check in tomorrow though. God bless you! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in mouth! |

Charis, Praise the name of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord! Praise the name of Jesus who came to do the will of our Father! Praise the name of Jesus who gave His life for our sins! Thank you again for your response. I am going to do some scripture searching and searching on the forum, think on this for a few days, and then I would like to continue our discussion. I pray to the Father that he give me a teachable spirit and wisdom through His holy spirit. Bless you! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

116 | Do all little ones believe? | Matt 18:6 | Cyclist | 66440
Charis, I will sing to the Lord in my heart the day long! I will sing of His mercy! I will sing of His love! I will sing of His grace! Thank you for responding to my question. Forgive my delay in responding to you. It's been a busy day. As I read further in Matthew 18, I see where Jesus mentions the "little ones again". Matt 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Matt 18:14 "So it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones perish. If I understand your first response correctly, we that are saved are these "little ones". Am I correct in assuming that? If so, please, if you do not mind, explain. Not a challenge at all. I'm addicted to reaching a better understanding of God's Word. Thank you Yor brother in Christ, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear Tim, I will praise the Lord our God with my whole heart! I will praise the Lord my God because He knows my mind and my heart! I am thankful to Him because nothing is hidden from Him! It's a little cool to be riding outside in the mornings in east central Illinois. I start my rides at around 5:30 AM. During the cooler months I place my bicycle on a training stand and ride inside. I ride outside as long as this body can tolerate it. When the temp drops into the low 40s the toes begin to go numb, even with thick socks. Thank you for your post. It certainly helps us, me anyway, understand. Blessings to you brother! It's been a while since we've exchanged posts. Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

Dear forum members, I will give thanks to the Lord daily for His wonderful love and mercy and grace! I will give thanks to the Lord early in the morning for the day He has made! I will say that this is the day that the Lord has made and rejoice! Is Jesus our Lord saying in verse 6 that all little ones believe in Him? Matt 18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" Matt 18:2 And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, Matt 18:3 and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:4 "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 18:5 "And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; Matt 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Have a blessed day in the Lord! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |

119 | Is baptism a work? | NT general Archive 1 | Cyclist | 66381
charis, I will glorify the King of Kings and Lord of lords who is Christ Jesus, our Savior! I will praise the name of Jesus Christ in my heart and with my voice the day long! I will rise up in the morning praising Him! I will go to sleep praising Him! I haven't had the pleasure of exchanging posts with you before. I think that your post is excellent! I often wonder why baptism is considered a "work" when it comes up on the forum. There are so many posts on this subject that it takes a good hour or two for someone like myself to absorb all of the different views and opinions. However, I never grow weary of reading the scriptures on the subject. Please bear with me charis and forum members as I give my own opinion on baptism. I never have considered baptism a "work" or as a requirement for salvation. When I was an infant in Christ I was excited about and eager to be baptised! For two reasons. Number one, my Lord and Savior was baptised and I was, and still am, eager and longing to follow as closely in His footsteps as possible! Of course I know I will never ever be equal to Him but I desire to be like Him. Second, because of this passage in Romans. Rom 6:3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Rom 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Rom 6:5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, WOW! To me this is exciting! To be buried with my Savior and to be risen into newness of life! How could baptism be view as a "work" to anyone? As I have written before on this forum I was baptised in a small lake. It was an experience I shall never forget! The excitement of following in my Lord's footsteps! He was baptised and so was I! The excitement of being buried with Him and raised into newness of life! Oh well, I've averaged about three to four hours of sleep each night this week so maybe this sounds a little "corny", but, I love Jesus Christ my Savior and I would invite anyone to experience baptism the same way that I have. I was so full of joy that I came out of the water praising Him! In Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
