Thank you. However, I've already read Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. Yet, I've heard many inconsistent interpretations thereof. Also, I am unable to respond to the ID #'s that you've provided without my notes being deleted. Therefore, it does me little good to read the materials further, if I am unable to ask questions about your references. | ||||||

"Greetings Agnostic, You ask: "Do you believe in God? If so, then why?" I assume that you are asking this as a personal question. Therefore, I will try to answer you in a personal way. Believing in God and knowing that He exists has completely changed my life and my perspective on everything! When I first became saved, I thought to myself: what is the meaning behind life? Why are we here? What real purpose is there for living life? And, if we were created by a higher being, then why? We live in this world and attempt to attain wealth, social standing, possibly a family, or anything really that you aspire to or enjoy.. But after you have obtained wealth, after you have gained popularity, after you have a family and every thing that you could ever want, then what next? What next after that? For me, there had to be something else that was elusive to me - something that means so much more than mere obtaining, and something that I could not aspire to on my own that was at the time completely beyond my grasp. Well, that "thing" that was beyond my grasp before I was saved was the Lord Jesus Christ. And knowing Him in a personal way has not only proven to me that I need Him, but it has also proven to me that He really does exist, and everything written about Him in Scripture is the truth. I found that the purpose for humanity living and existing is to have a personal relationship with the One who was responsible for our creation in the first place, Jesus Christ. To know Jesus in a personal way is much more than just following rules, experiencing a "high", or going to church and reading your Bible. Knowing Jesus in a personal way is having a relationship with Christ that grows in a real way. And anyone, even you, could have a spiritual relationship with Christ if they consciously make the decision of your own volition to let Him into your life! And He will show His love towards you and give you an overwhelming sense of hope and worth that you will never know unless you let Him into your life. This is just the tip of the iceberg, but I certainly can tell you that Jesus lives, beyond any shadow of a doubt! If you would like to see other Christian testimonies of coming to salvation, I invite you to surf to: http://www.christiantestimonies.org/ Blessings to you, Makarios" Thank you for your post. I would like to ask you further questions, but my questions are being deleted as I ask them, insofar as Hank has deemed them to be insincere. Therefore I must reject your stance in that light. Sorry. |

"Man's search for God Often the last thing humans desire is to find or be found by God. C. S. Lewis, once an agnostic, astutely observed that "amiable agnostics will talk cheerfully about 'man's search for God.' To me, as I then was, they might as well have talked about the mouse's search for the cat!"" Do you feel that I don't wish to find God? |

"Greetings Agnostic, All the same, I do ask that you seriously think about it - the reason for our existence - and if you have ever honestly given God (as the answer to the question) serious thought.." Yes, I've given it serious thought. I had served in pastoral leadership for many years, although I am now agnostic. Nonetheless, I must reject your stance if not given the opportunity to cross-examine it. The legalistic controls of your forum moderators make any point that you assert completely moot. "You have everything to gain by pursuing Christ! Blessings to you, Makarios" I'm sorry, but I must reject your stance. I have lost much more than I have gained through affiliation with Christians over the years. |

"I pass judgment on no one." Certainly we all judge. I don't believe that any of us doesn't judge. I hope that you're referring to Jesus, and not to yourself. - "13 The Pharisees challenged him, "Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid." 14 Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me." John 8:13-16 New International Version Agnostic, I have no window to look into another man's soul. I'm sure I do not know what it is you do or do not wish to find. --Kalos" Thank you. |

Sorry, but Hank is deleting every other response of mine, so it is moot for me to respond to your posts. I can only say that I reject your pespective, due to your misrepresentation of the bible. You're filled with violence. Thank you. "I understand what your saying. For man without God, the truth is hard to accept 1 Corinthians 2:14. Your not the first nor will you be the last to think you know better then God. Our sinful and selfish nature wants things our way. God's ways are different then mans (Isaiah 55:9) and without Him you cannot understand them. Of course you want no part of Christian love. Your still serving your master the devil at this point. He will not allow you to love as a Christian. But you have come to a place where people understand this. We are well aware of the hold he has on you. If you read the bible as you stated, then you should know that Christ died for the sinner. He didn't die for the saved for there were none Romans 3:23. This includes you and me. And regardless of weather you want to be a part of Christian love or not, you are. You came into this forum and introduced yourself to many who hold to the word of God, have tasted His love and are guided by the Holy Spirit. We love you despite your opinion of us. I for one am truly concerned for your salvation. There is more proof for you that God exist. If the Holy Spirit was not in me then why would I care one way or the other about you when all I know is your screen name and what you have posted. Yet I pray for you that God will open your eyes so that you too will know Him as I have come to know Him." |

"I'm filled with violence? That's an interesting tactic." I'm glad that you think so. The 'god' who inspires your writings is filled with violent genocide. |

"Yes, I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord." Okay. "Only a fool believes otherwise: "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" (Psalm 14:1)." This verse is referring to atheists as fools. This verse is not referring to fools as atheists, as you imply. ".... Why do I believe in God? Well, I'm not a fool!" I'm not convinced that you're not a fool. Or are you rather saying that you're not an atheist, in the context of the verse? "The Bible, which is the word of God, tells me about God from cover to cover. And "the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmanent showeth his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1). ....." Okay. The Bible tells me about God too. "Now, "Agnositic," do you believe in God? If so, then why? If not, then why not? --Hank" Do you know what an agnostic is? |

"I believe in God, and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ, because the revelation about Them given in the Bible is undeniably true!" If this revelation is undeniably true, then why have many denied it? "He has revealed Himself to me is such a real way, that I cannot deny!" Are you strictly speaking for yourself? Or for others too? "My life has been changed 180 degrees by my relationship to the Lord." Good for you. In what ways? "I cannot account for this by mere chance, coincidence, or personal effort." Have you ever endeavored to explore other reasons for this beyond your faith in a god? "It is by the grace of God alone that I live." Is it therefore grace alone that you show to others? "I hope this helps, BradK" Thanks. |
