41 | Whats a womens place in the Church? | 1 Tim 2:12 | 2Tim215 | 180299
Women are told to remain silent because Man was made first. In marriage, the man is the head of the woman, and Christ is the head of the man. And, two sexes are only one flesh in marriage. But, everyone comes to God through Jesus so in that sense we are equals. And I am a female. I will admit that I have gone to the front of the church during the invitation to say something God has lead me to say before EVERYONE. I think that it is better to obey God than to follow 1 Timothy 2:12 and sin in disobedience. Of course, in all of this, I am not very wise yet. Rebuke is welcome. Personally, whatever that is on the outside is just a reflection of what's on the inside; like my pastor says, "What's down in the well comes up in the bucket." But, physical looks are meaningless. I know a lot of ugly people who are the nicest and wisest I've ever met. Who I associate with stems from who someone is on the inside. god bless |

42 | Will there be night in heaven? | Revelation | 2Tim215 | 180298
Well, this might be splitting hairs. I think that when the bible speaks of heaven, they're really talking about the place where God is. It's where his throne is, and where the fourty elders and the four beasts worship at his feet. (Rev. 4) After judgement, it's union with God, living where he IS. It's in contrast to hell being seperation from God. When we're with God, there is no sun and no moon, because God is our light. (Rev. 21:23) I would think, since Night is symbolically where sin reigns, there will be no night or darkness in heaven. Or the New Jerusalem. Whatever. Because wherever it is, God will be there and be the light therein. |

43 | Verse"Quitters not worthy o'heaven"HELP | NT general Archive 1 | 2Tim215 | 180295
THANK YOU!!! And I truly appreciate the wisdom. See, I heard an interview on the radio with this one preacher in california. At first, he was doing awesome, then he got tired and just quit the race! Now he preaches…hmm…inclusionism, I believe. I felt really sad. And as you said, he tasted the heavenly gift but fell away. And you're completely correct, I do believe. This helps a bunch. Thanks again. |

44 | Will we have flashbacks of the past? | Revelation | 2Tim215 | 180294
Thanks! The only problem is, the "get bible text" only has two versions, NASB and Amplified. I really do prefer NIV or KJV. Of course, I am blonde, so who knows. thanks though. |

45 | Will we have flashbacks of the past? | Revelation | 2Tim215 | 180292
OKAY!!! I FOUND IT!!! I makes me really happy, in a childish sort of way. 1 Corinthians 13:11-13 says "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I should have known it was in corinthians!! god bless ya |

46 | Will we have flashbacks of the past? | Revelation | 2Tim215 | 180291
Thanks for those points…about the books? Check in revelations where we see the judgement seat…and the books will be opened, then the book of life was opened…I will be back as soon as possible with that "we peer as though through a darkened glass" thing…And I do have an excuse: I remember what I read in the bible, I just don't remember where. It drives me nuts. AND, I use KJV or NiRV translations. thanks, man. |

47 | Will we have flashbacks of the past? | Revelation | 2Tim215 | 180276
Who knows! Like it says in Revelations–we peer through a darkened glass. But, we are told that God will open "all the books". I'm assuming every little dirty detail of our lives will be spoken aloud by Him. Then, Jesus will step forward and say we've been redeemed by his blood. |

Okay. I can't find the verse in the New Testament where the writer says, basically, "If someone gives up being a christian, they are not worthy of the kingdom of heaven and its really hard for them to go back now that they've quit." Can you help me? |
