1 | Can women NOT perform baptism per Bible | NT general | sagindiana | 237423
Is there scripture which states women cannot or should not perform baptisms? My mother performed the baptism on my daughter and my future mother-in-law has made a statement that it doesn't matter what I believe is right but what the Bible says is right. She said she "just doesn't believe it's right". Thank you for your assistance because this has just crushed me. It was a wonderful moment and I don't want it tarnished if she's incorrect in her interpretation.

Please note that a prophets are spokesmen for God and/or His word. As such they are allowed to do that which is according to His word. Then refer to: Ac 2:17 “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; Ac 2:18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. Ac21:8 ¶ And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. Ac21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. Also note:Ga 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Considering the above I do not see that you have a true problem. |
