Hi kennj, You may be referring to the Principle Parts. A verb may have up to six principal parts. In the following list the conventional order is observed: 1st — present tense (from which the imperfect also is formed) 2nd — future tense 3rd — aorist active 4th — perfect active 5th — perfect middle/passive 6th — aorist passive (from which the future passive also is formed) [Chapman, Benjamin. Greek New Testament Insert. 2nd ed., revised. Quakertown, PA: Stylus Publishing, 1994.] I hope this helps, BradK |
