Thanks for your reply. It's not that I doubted what you previously posted. It's just that in case I repeated to others what you had said, I wanted to be prepared to present proof to them. I have read literally thousands of pages (in print) about the Holocaust, but there is so much that I don't know and haven't read. I am, of course, familiar with the slogan over the gates of many of the death camps, the one that reads: Work makes free. (Not sure of the German spelling, so I won't even attempt it. It's something like "Arbeit" or "Arbeiten macht frei.") I, too, did a Google search for the quote you referred to, a search that would link it to the Holocaust or death camps, but found none, although I did not read every last one of the Google search results.
