1 | why go to a doctor for healing | Bible general Archive 2 | Jorja | 150902
In Matt CH9 the woman with a need of healing touched Jesus and received health. When Jesus spoke to her He did not rebuke her for going to many doctors. Therefore I believe if her actions were wrong Jesus would have corrected her so that we would know to avoid the same mistakes. Jesus never wasted words and never passed up the opportunity to teach us Gods way of abundant life. Since He did not say she wasted time money and energy going to Drs we can use the help of Drs to become healed but we should never forget God gives these men and women their talents and the wisdom to use them they are not the healers Jesus is the Healer. Having said that I will add God does not need assistance of any sort to heal. There are people who do not know Him who would otherwise never receive healing without the help of a doctor and people who need to appease the symptoms of disease before they can believe they are healed so God has provided Drs for us. As knowledge of Gods will grows you will learn to take Him with you to the Dr and pray for the Dr to quickly and correctly diagnose the problem the correct medicine that your body needs and that it work only for your benefit with no side effects. As faith grows you will need medical assistance less and less until one day not at all.

Dear Jorjia, You wrote, "As faith grows you will need medical assistance less and less until one day not at all." You forget that we all die. All our bodies eventually wear out. Consequently if healing is what the gospel is about, then it is a dismal failure. Now, in glory, there will be no need of healing. I do not find scriptural support for a promise of full physical healing to everyone in our fallen state. If you were correct about this, we might still find the Apostle John living on the island of Patmos. Did he lose his faith? Here's an easier one: If you were correct about this, we would find the folks who attended the Azusa Street revival in Los Angeles still alive. To my knowledge, not a single one of them has survived into the 21st century. Did they all lose their faith? In Him, Doc |

Hi, Jorja... You're right... death can also occur at God's hands directly (Deut 32:39) or by acts attributable to humans. Death is still a consequence of sin, though it will eventually be abolished. As Paul instructed us, "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:26) In Him, Doc |
