1 | Once saved always saved ??? | Bible general Archive 2 | romans5n1 | 143182 | ||
First off, I want to assure you that your salvation is in no jeopardy, whatsoever. Salvation is the gift of God in Christ Jesus accepted by faith. If works played any part whatsoever, Christ died for naught. Now, as to the question of once saved always saved. The very premise of once saved always saved is exactly that. There is nothing you can do or not do that will forfeit salvation. If your belief differs, then you do not believe "once saved, always saved", though your belief may be close. Let me assure you though that there is much biblical evidence for "once saved, always saved" though. To provide an sufficient look at Scripture here is not feasible, but you can refer to two documents I have written. The first discusses the nature of salvation and can be found at http://romans5n1.christian.net/salvation.pdf The second is an analysis of Hebrews 6:1-9. It indirectly discusses the inability to lose one's salvation and can be found at http://romans5n1.christian.net/hebrews6_analysis.pdf Hope these will help in answering your question. God bless. |

I would disagree with romans5n1 but would rather point you toward the Quick Search at the upper right of your screen. If you'll insert the acronym OSAS or Once Saved Always Saved, you'll get a tremendous wealth of discussion on this point. This debate has gone on for centuries so we'll all have to wait and see what the Lord says on Judgment Day. See ya there and God bless. Rowdy |

romans5n1 Let me step in here for a minute. The debate on “once saved always saved” has been hotly contested issue on this forum. In an effort to maintain peace and some semblance of civility Lockman in their wisdom has made debates over points of contention held by Calvinist and Arminianist off limits. If you want to see the discussion, just do a search on Once saved always saved in the search box to the upper right. However for all intents and purposes the discussion has been closed by Lockman.
