Praise be to our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. I was recently talking to a friend an unbeliever about our Master Jesus Christ. Telling him how Jesus Christ loves us all and want to give all eternal life. He then mentioned that we Christians are hypocrites and mentioned about a rapper (Mase Betha) who turned Pastor Mase of SANE mininistries in Atlanta (it was a miraculous conversion) and it brought Glory to our LORD Jesus Christ. Mt friend now told me that this same paster as gone back to rapping (rapper) I was unawre of all this and I started reading about this on the internet and different articles. First of all the person in question is not relevant. Im more intrested in what is going on with this pastor My question is that if Jesus Christ as converted this pastor (as his own church and everything) would our LORD Jesus Christ then tell you to go back into the lifestyle He saved you from. I am a bit confused myself because I dont want to judge and our LORD Jesus Christ works in many ways we dont understand. Will this be sending a wrong message to non believers especially the young ones OR is this a plan that our LORD Jesus Christ is using to reach thousands of unsaved people through this once famous rapper turned pastor and now turned rapper minus all the swearing, money and sex. gab |

Hi, Gab! It is truly difficult to know what God intends to do with us... there are many both celebreties and noncelebreties who have made stides on the Way only to turn away from Him when things did not happened as they thought it would or when the world calls them entices them back (Matthew 13:3-23 and 13:24-30)... Remember also Pauls words... not all have been called to be apostles, prophets, preachers, teachers... (1 Corinthians 12:28-30) As long as this person stays within Christ's Body he can serve the Lord in any station of life! God Bless! Angel |

Greetings in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ. Thank you EdB and JCrichton for your inputs. our LORD Jesus Christ richly bless you. I pondered on this all day has a follower of our LORD Jesus Christ for about 2 years. I have been saved for over 3 years its just during the past 2 years I been a true follower of our LORD Jesus Christ. While I was in the church then (before I became a devout follower of Christ) I still had one foot in the world doing all the what nots clubbing, girls, sex etc. My friends then didn’t seem to mind because to them nothing had changed apart from oh yea I cant make it today im going church. Cut the long story short when our LORD Jesus Christ permitted trials into my life looking back I now realise the damage, the whipping and the shame I brought to our Master LORD Jesus Christ. Now I still have loads of friends in the world and since I became a true follower of our LORD Jesus Christ and denying all fleshly lusts and stopped all that I used to do through the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ. Whenever I try and minister or try and meet up with my so called friend (at the gym, tennis) its a different ball game now they have truly seen the difference and any opportunity they have to say anything against the body of Christ or when I say something out offline that contradicts something through my ignorance they are quick to jump on my throat and say we Christians are all liars and hypocrites, they tell me that this change iv become will not last and I will comeback to my old ways etc. I have realised through the Word that I had to cut off most of my friends before they polluted me all I do now is phone them occasionally and minister the Word to them and pray for them all the time in my prayers. I do not know what our LORD Jesus Christ intends with this pastor but we have to go back and look at what the WORD of our LORD Jesus Christ says in the bible. The Holy Spirit brought me into remembrance with Moses and Paul. The Word of our LORD Jesus Christ says that Moses forsook his privileges in the courts of pharaoh in Egypt when he knew his brethren. The Word (bible) didn’t say he then went back into pharaoh court and tried to convince pharaoh and the Egyptians that what they were doing to the Israelites was wrong while having a glass of wine or cup of tea with them at the same time. When Paul got converted the Word of our LORD Jesus Christ said he immediately started preaching that our LORD Jesus Christ is LORD of all and KING of kings the bible didn’t say afterwards he went back to the Pharisees, put up his feet and discussed that he saw our LORD Jesus Christ and He told him why are you persecuting me etc. Using my self as an example my friend don’t see me anymore coming out with them and doing what they do and still proclaiming I was a follower of our LORD Jesus Christ. When I used to do that I was not a testimony more of a shame to the body of Christ and I didn’t realise it. I hardly have any friends (secular friends that is) now every time I see them I tell them all what our LORD Jesus Christ wants to do for them and that eternal life has been brought free of charge by the blood of the Lamb and they just need to receive it. I believe all we followers of our LORD Jesus Christ need to start praying because this pastor turned rapper again as a huge, huge youth following. May I say that I love the art of rap and I now choose what I listen to carefully but when I hear all the swearing and what not I just turn it off or switch it somewhere else? I don’t know what answer I would give a non-believer who asks me about this pastor? Any advice or suggestions are very welcome Gab |

Hi, Gab! Your testimony is strong and uplifting! Jesus warned the disciples that the world would hate them on account of Him (John 15:18-20)--since the world did not receive Jesus, all of Jesus' disciples would receive the same treatment... yet, there were those who listened and believe and through the disciples there are those who listen and believe! I understood from your testimony that Satan blinded you for a while... that while you knew that Jesus was the answer, you still wanted to hold on to the old Gab (the popular guy with the "friends" and the "girls" and the "parties!")... it was when you committed to Christ that you realized how wrong you were... you realized that He would vomit you out of His mouth (Revelation 3:16)... you realized that you were doing a disservice to both the Lord and His Body and to yourself! Your commitment to stick it out is what Jesus refers to as those who "stand" or "overcome..." those who are His true disciples! The worst lot for a Christian to preach to or evangelize are his/her previous "friends..." these are the people who, with the now Believer, enjoyed rejecting Christ and reveling in all the unrightous acts with witch they defiled themselves and God! The strongest evangelization that we can do is STAY THE COURSE! We can convict more of our past "friends" by maintaining our devotion and commitment to the Lord than all the preaching and sharing of Scripture with them... of course, as we continue our life in the Lord, they will become convicted of their own failures and through our gentle ministering to them the Holy Spirit may be able to awaken in them the Truth: Jesus is the Resurrection and Life! As far as the pastor... you cannot be responsible for him! You cannot account for his actions any more than I can... those who come to you protesting of hypocracy on the part of Christians you will do well in reminding them that it is the man who fails not Christ! It is our stubbornness that keeps us from submitting to our wills to God! And it is our doublemindedness that causes us to walk in the Lord for a time, only to reject Him when our whim is not satisfied! Remind them also that not all are able to lead and instruct in the Lord... that a servant of Christ is not subject to only one station in the Lord... many are called to be healers, listeners, laborers, preachers, and yes, even wonderers... Remind them that being Christian is a life-time commitment and that many who begin their life in the Lord are as confused and as frightened as when they only knew the things of the world! I will be praying for you and for this ex-servant of Christ! God Bless! Angel |
