When did the Sabbath day change? How soon did Jewish Christians switch from the Sabbath to worshipping Sunday? As I read the New Testament. Paul Continued to meet with Christians and Jews every Sabbath as was His Custom. I don't know that there was a thorough departure from the sabbath until some very heavy handed anti-semitism entered into the church about 150 to 200 AD. Can anyone verify this for me? I was under the impression that it was Constantinople that Baptized his entire army in one day and declared them all Christians before they went off to war against their enemies ... And that he continued to worship another Roman god, called Sol (he was into syncretism) and that Sunday is related to Sol, or the god of the Sun. |
