Steve: (This is not directed at you personally. The reason is that you did not say that you disagreed, but that "there is disagreement." So do not take this as criticism of you, my friend.) Any disagreement over which is more correct -- Mark or Luke -- is a denial of and attack upon the inspiration and authority of the Bible. ALL SCRIPTURE is equally inspired. The idea that some parts of the Bible are more "correct" than others is sheer nonsense. Also, we need to realize that, strictly speaking, the Gospels are NOT biographies. Grace to you, kalos |

Hello kalos There is no issue of inspiration. The word translated "consecutive" in NASB can also be translated "orderly" or "connected." So, more care was given to accuracy in the facts rather than the precise chronological order, although Luke did an great job in the chronology. Steve |
