2 | What do the wings symbolize in dan 7:6 | NT general Archive 1 | glory777 | 20414 | ||
i don't have a clue- How do you know that the wings of the lion symbolize the USA? I have read that the images given to Daniel in chapter 7 showed the same chain of events as in the second chapter. The lion symbolized Nebuchadnezzar - the removal of his wings was when God brought him down because of his pride. (A winged lion was also the national symbol of Babylon). The lopsided bear symbolized the Medo-Persian empire and the leopard represented Greece. I'm not sure what the symbolism is for the wings, other than, knowing the wings in the first image were removed to cause debasement so I am guessing they may symbolize the feelings of the Greece dominance that they were invincible.
