3 | Is Jesus the Bread of life? | NT general Archive 1 | Robindb723 | 125220
Ray, These two scriptures are written in two different contexts, one is spiritual and one physical. The only comparison is that we see here that we cannot live on physical bread alone because we need food for our inner man and only Jesus can satisfy that longing. He is the Bread of Life because once you partake of Him you will not be hungry again, searching for something or someone to satisfy the unrest in your life. He is all we really need. Once you experience Jesus there is no question about what the Bread of Life means in this scripture.

Hi Robindb723, Is He the Bread of Life or the Bread of life? We are to eat Him and it is a difficult statement for how can we eat His flesh? So we indeed must partake of His spiritual bread. No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. But we can receive the thoughts revealed by His spirit that we have received as gifts from God. He is the Bread for our spiritual lives. So His flesh of John 6:51 are the words of eternal life that He has given in John 6:68. From the heart, Ray |
