1 | Any help on their on nine manger nails? | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 70203 | ||
roark89 Where did you come up with this idea? I'm not putting it down, I have just never heard of it. It certainly does not appear to have any Biblical basis since we are not told how the manger was constructed. Some picture the manger as a man made creation out of wood. Others as a natually occuring hollowing out of a stone. To others as a carved stone. EdB |

That was the weakness in this lesson for me. I watched a lady use a story of the manger. But it was done quickly and I didn't quite catch it. The cool thing about this lesson was the focus on the fulfillment of nine different prophecies for Jesus Christ... There are many more but the ones she used are as follows Micah 5:2 fulfilled in Matthew 2:1 Isaiah 7:14 fulfilled in Matthew 1:18 Zechariah 9:9 fullfilled in John 12:14 Psalms 41:9 fullfilled in Mark 14:10 Isaiah 53:3 fullfilled in John 1:11 (and other places) Isaiha 53:12 .....Matthew 27:38 Psalm 22:16......John 20:27 Psalm 16:10......Acts 3:15 Psalm 68:18......Acts 1:9 The nails were used to involve the students who would read the scriptures and hang a nail on a Christmas tree. I wasn't sure if there was a Christian story or otherwise that some of you may have known about. So I asked. But I assure you my teachings in church are Biblical. The thrust of our lesson...If someone asks.."What is Christmas?" You can tell them, it's true. Then support your answer with scriptures that offer promises and and keep promises from God. Amen, thanks and God bless you. |
