DEAR David24597, I APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE AND CONCERN IN HELPING ME TO SEE THE THINGS THAT GOD MIGHT WANT ME TO SEE SO THAT I WOULD BE RIGHT WITH HIM. IN THE READING OF AMOS 5, THE LORD IS PROPHESYING ABOUT THE KEEPERS OF THE LAW FOR GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE UNDER THAT LAW THAT HE PASSED DOWN THROUGH MOSES. THE 'DAY OF THE LORD' THAT IS BEING REFERRED TO HERE IS THE TIME IN WHICH THE CHRIST JESUS, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, WOULD BE BEGOTTEN INTO THIS WORLD BECAUSE HE WOULD BE THROWING THEM[THE KEEPERS OF THE MOSAICAL LAW FOR GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE] ON THEIR HEADS, AS A MANNER OF SPEAKING. IF YOU READ IN MATTHEW 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." AND THE SURROUNDING VERSES, YOU SEE JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBURG OF WHAT WAS PROPHESIED ABOUT IN AMOS 5:. I STILL REFER BACK TO REV.22:20-21 AND 1 JOHN 4:13-19. WE ARE TAUGHT TO NOT FEAR, TO LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY OF THE LORD'S RETURN. PAUL EVEN TOLD HOW THAT HE WAS CAUGHT BETWEEN STAYING HERE FOR OUR SAKES AND GOING ON TO BE WITH THE LORD BY DYING. Phi 1:21 "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." READ ALL OF CHAPTER 1 AT LEAST. YOU CAN SEE THAT GOD HAD WORKED OUT THE FEAR THAT PAUL WOULD HAVE IF HE HAD NOT BEEN PERFECTED IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST. THAT IS WHAT WE ALL SHOULD BE PRAYING FOR FROM OUR HEAVENLY FATHER; THAT, AND 'BOTH THE WANTING AND THE DOING OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE'. Phi 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." I SUPPOSE THAT YOU ARE OF THE FAMILY OF BELIEVERS, THEREFORE I TELL YOU THAT I HAVE PRAYED FOR US ALL TO UNDERSTAND JUST WHAT THAT PERFECT WILL OF OUR LORD IS IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF THE THINGS DESCRIBED IN GALATIONS AND OTHER BOOKS OF THE BIBLE. IT IS HARD FOR US SOMETIMES TO KEEP OUR FOCUS ON THE WORDS THE SPIRIT IS WHISPERING TO US AMIDST ALL THE TURMOIL. BUT AS LONG AS HE LIVES IN US[IS NOT SNATCHED FROM US FOR QUENCHING IT - Eph 4:30,OR BLASPHEMING IT - Mar 3:28-29] THEN WE CAN BE SURE THAT WE WILL CONTINUE TO BE MADE HOLY BY OUR FATHER THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Phil 1:27-30 THANX AGAIN |

Hello Frank, Welcome to the Forum. Just an FYI- it's generally considered shouting when you post with all caps! Should you feel inclined to stick around for any length of time, you can tells us a little about yourself under "Update User". BradK |

I am sorry, I normally type in all capitals becuse it is easier for me to do so, as I have trouble using my hands correctly. I make a lot less mistakes that way. I am sitting here in a brace due to my spine being in severe deterioration from a wreck. Some days are better than others, therefore allowing me to use my hands more correctly. But if I ever type my whole message in CAPS, then it is just one of those bad days and I mean no offence to anyone... ever! So if you would, please bear with me in this matter. Truly I am not here to be a contentious rival... just to open my mouth[or E-mouth] as GODs SPIRIT gives me utterance. I pray for us all that GOD will be merciful to us all, and allow us repentance and give us 'both the will and the doing of HIS good pleasure', as well as the continuing raport that has the ability to build up the hearers [or E-readers] toward salvation, that only GOD can provide through our weak selves, on this forum or any other means that he gives us to do so. But I sincerely appreciate your calling my attention to this order of things for forum conversation, as I am 'old school' I guess you would say. Thanx again BradK |
