1 | Need more on THE HOUR and the ALL who he | Rev 20:5 | charis | 7362
Dear Isabel, If I may ask, what is the purpose of knowing the answer to this question? Please, I mean no harm. I understand that all believers should desire to know more about God, His plan, and how to live in Him. When I was a new believer, I was stricken with a curiosity about the end times. I am not that 'old' now, but I can no longer see that point in striving for that which is hidden, and will remain hidden until the return of the Lord. Please remind me. If possible, tell me where in the Word we are encouraged to seek after such answers. Again, please do not be upset with me. I see a lot of focus on these things, yet no one has explained from the Bible why they spend so much time on them. In Christ Jesus, charis |

2 | Why did God send phophets | Rev 20:5 | hillbilly | 46262
If God didn't want us to explore into the things that are to mark the end time. Why did he spend so much time on prophecy and explaining what to look for ect.?
3 | Why did God send phophets | Rev 20:5 | bravostarr | 46288
God wants us to always be prepared when the day comes, and he returns. He wants us to know the season, but no one--not even Jesus the Son of God knows the exact hour. I think the book of Revelation is cool to read, but hard to understand. Maybe it is there for the people left behind. Perhaps as the world endurs the great tribulation, they can look into the book and see how everything is coming true....maybe that will lead to many being saved? |

4 | Why did God send phophets | Rev 20:5 | Hank | 46318
Oh, I agree, I think indeed that God's fervent wish is that we be prepared. We prepare ourselves when we obey Him and trust in His grace through faith in His Son to save us. We prepare ourselves by becoming heralds of the good news of Christ Jesus to our fellowman. We prepare ourselves by living obedient and righteous lives to the glory of God . But I equally agree, in concord with charis, that spending an inordinate amount of time trying to unravel all the mysteries of the end times is not the proper way to prepare ourselves nor to serve God during these fleeting moments that we have on earth. --Hank
