Doc, I do not see how your question is biblically based and according to the forum terms of use and statement from the Lockman Foundation registration page. I have included a copy of the Lockman Foundation statement for your review. Hope it helps you answer questions better. What is StudyBibleForum.com? It's a free resource in an open access environment for all users to ask questions, give answers, and experience spiritual growth as a result. For the layman, it's a 24-hour source of evolving Bible study notes with which to contrast and compare. For the teacher and scholar, it's an opportunity to freely share your knowledge. The StudyBibleForum.com is built from the "Bible" up. A synergetic resource built to enhance and deepen your study of God's Word. It's like a free study Bible with an unlimited margin, that contained helpful verse notes, and was continually expanding. A resource where you can access and/or contribute to a dynamic repository of verse notes. It's not a discussion group or topical survey, but an ever growing "expository repository" that gives the layman and scholar an opportunity to share truth and contribute wisdom. We hope you find this free resource to be a valuable tool in your personal Christian growth. Please carefully proofread your content to ensure it represents your best efforts. About Postings The StudyBibleForum is an inter-denominational Christian forum. This forum encourages questions and answers but we may determine what is acceptable at any particular time. Postings must be Biblically based and not opposing to the authority of the Bible, Christianity, or the deity of Jesus Christ. Whenever possible, postings should include supporting Bible references. Postings must not be intended as a personal attack on other users of this forum. They must not be submitted as an effort to foster debates, arguments, divisiveness, ill-will, dissension or disruptions to this forum. Pushing ones own personal and denominational views Please limit, to the best of your ability, the known denominational biases that produce potential strife and undue conflict. Please avoid interjecting obvious denominational biases, especially when urged by peers to cease. Otherwise, it becomes a battle of wills, and only tears down morale and causes division. If we are notified that this situation is occurring we will review it and act as necessary. Best Regards, forwwjd |

Hi, For... Asking someone from what theological perspective they are posting is not a violation of forum guidelines. Indeed, it is helpful in order to insure that we are complying. Most of us are pretty explicit about our background, as evidenced in our profiles. Speaking of which, For... what is your position on the diety of Jesus? In Him, Doc |

If you read your response in context, you basically judged that the person is a Russellist aka Jeovah Witness. Whereas if you were interested in knowning the persons position you would have worded your question better. I figure you are a very learned man and can ask the question in a non-judgemental way - if you choose. Therefore, the whole messy thread below your response is due to your question. If you were complying, you would not be trying to ask divisive questions. My position is that that Jesus was born of a virgin (Mat 1:18 - 24), died for my sins (Romans 6:9-11), was buried (Luke 23:53 -56), decended into hell (Eph 4:9), and on the third day He arose (Luke 24). Jesus sits on the right hand of God (Acts 2:30 - 36, Eph 1:20) and makes intecession for me(Heb 7:24-26, Romans 8:34). And that I have the blessed hope of the resurrection (Romans 6:5,1 Cor 15; 12, 1 Peter 1:3, ) which is the Good News of the Gospel. In Christ, forwwjd |

So you do not believe in the diety of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the Second Person of the Triune God, of the same substance and equal with Him Who created the world?

Where do you get that from? I think my response was based on the Apostles' Creed. Does not the Apostles' Creed support the diety Christ? In Christ, forwwjd |

The belief of the apostles regarding the doctrine of the diety is of public record. I am asking about your position on this issue -- which, notably, remains unstated.

I think I answered what I believe. I also have given scriptural references. Notice also that I have written in the first person. So which part of this statement is not in line with the belief in the deity of Christ, which you noted in your previous post? |
