1 | Do I really have to love everyone? | 1 John 4:7 | cb2859 | 150841
All, Yes, God is love (although His primary attribute is that He is Holy). I just want to take this opprtunity to point out that biblical love is not an emotion -- it is how one acts toward others. If you treat your enemies like you would treat your friends ( or yourself ) you are acting in love. As was already pointed out, in ourselves, we don't have this capacity, but the Christian can confidently state that "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Here is a URL that states the position better than I could. http://www.bible-truth.org/msg38.html -Chris |

Thanks Chris. Thank God for He has shed his love abroad our hearts but it requires a deliberate action on our part.
