Your Pastors, Ministers and Preachers HAS NO AUTHORITY in preaching ABOUT JESUS SINCE THEY DO NOT HAVE VALID ORDINATION REMEMBER THAT PREACHERS ARE SENT (not self appointed) ACTS 15:24 Since we have heard that some of our number (who went out) without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind, Acts 15:25 we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, (meaning Apostolic Successions - passed on to Apostles to Bishops to Priests) not Protestant (Non Catholic Christians) Ministers, Pastors or Preachers. PEACE AND LOVE Al Mescallado |

Greetings Al! Your post is a perfect example of the danger of following man's traditions. Where does the Bible speak of ordination? Where does the Bible say that someone can only preach Jesus is the Catholic church says that they can do so? Preachers are indeed sent, but by God, not by the Catholic church! Paul was sent by God and the disciples didn't want anything to do with him at first. But, he didn't quit preaching! He went ahead and obeyed God rather than man. Eventually, Paul was accepted. Notice also that Paul called Peter himself to account for his unchristian behavior. The example you cite in Acts 15:24-25 has nothing to do with the calling or ordination of preachers. It has to do with the correction of false doctrine. Some had gone to the Gentiles and tried to place unbiblical restrictions upon them, and the Apostles wanted the gentiles to know that they did not come with their blessing. But, this passage says nothing about authority to preach one way or another. From your numerous posts, I take it that you are quite content to be a part of the Catholic church. Great! However, there are others who differ with your understanding. Many of us see the Catholic church as being simply wrong about many of it's tenent's of faith. However, this forum is not meant to be a place for you to try to convince us Protestants that we should be Catholic. Nor, is it designed for us Protestants to convice you that you should not be Catholic. It is meant for Bible study. I offer you fair warning my friend that you are in violation of the forum's rules. Please cease! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
