Dear Searcher, The idea of the Holy Spirit going "away" during the Tribulations is somewhat problematic for me. First of all, how does any part of our omnipresent God leave someplace? Also, I thought people would be saved during the Tribulation? If the Holy Spirit isn't "there" then how does He effect the work of regeneration and indwelling of the believer? Of course, their whole argument is based on a rather oblique assertion of the single passage of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7. Well, I guess theological conundrums abound when people leverage an entire eschatological view on a single passage rather than letting Scripture interpret Scripture. In Him, Doc |

God's day to you, Doc, Hey Doc, I was just citing a passage people use to say He would be done away with. I did cite two passages (there are others) in Revelation that I think supports what you and I think ... He will be around during the Tribulation. The end times is not my stong suit, because I am not worried about it as much, as how to live today. S |
