1 | Drinking wine- pros and cons? | Eph 5:18 | cheeky | 10657
Could someone give me the pros and cons of drinking/consuming wine from a Biblical perspective? Is this a case of everything is permissible but not beneficial and I will not be brought under the subject of any. Plus Eph 5:18, not to be excessive? Thanks.

Cheeky, you are right. We are not to be excessive if we drink wine. Nolan used an "expert" ... but I don't see Rom 14:21 in that list. Don't drink if it might cause another Christian to stumble. Be aware of others if you choose to drink wine. Steve PS Even if the water is potable today, I think a little wine for others is okay. |

Gotta love those "experts", Steve! :) cheeky, there's no prohibition against drinking in Scripture, only becoming 'under the influence' of a drink or substance, or simply 'getting drunk.' (I'll stop blushing now..) Sorry for a 'tongue in cheek' answer the first time.. :) Nolan |
