I'd like to have some clarifications about the chapter Ephesians verses 5:18: "...Instead be filled with the Spirit." To me this means I need to clear everything in my head in order for me to hear God and be filled will his voice. My girlfriend offered me to read these verses, and I have to see them through the following light: she's thinking whether to continue our relationship or not. This is very sad but besides praying and give her all the time she needs, I can't do anything else. We are very much in love and we have done many life experiences together, we both realized how similar we are and everything is perfect when we are together. However, due to our background difference, she is not sure whether I am the right person or not... |

Basically Paul the writer of Ephesians under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is saying do not seek drugs and artificial ways in attempt to find release from yourself and the days troubles. Let worries, burdens and fears reside in God and let the Holy Spirit fill your mind with what is important. Here again you seeking advice on this forum. That is like writing to a newpaper columist. while the advice may be scriptural, pithy or even humorous it may not fit your situation. People offering advice here have no accountability to you or your girlfriend. They can say anything and it means nothing. Seek out someone you trust like a pastor or a school counselor, or even perhaps a relationship counselor and sit down and discuss these issues. EdB |
