2 | Explain Ephesians 3:5-6? | Eph 3:6 | Val | 192735 | ||
(The mystery of Christ was not revealed to the nation of Israel - God's people until Christ came. Paul was the one chosen to explain this mystery - Jews and Gentiles in one body - the church.) Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (The first gentile believer was Cornelius in Acts Chapter 10) - Acts 10:22 They said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, was divinely directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear a message from you." (Peter was sent to preach the gospel to Cornelius and Cornelius and his household received Christ. Peter explained this to his brethren in Acts 15) Acts 15:7 After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe (Paul talks about this in Galatians) Gal 2:7 But on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised Gal 2:8 for He who effectually worked for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised effectually worked for me also to the Gentiles, (In the old testament any people who wanted to follow Jehovah God were extended that opportunity: see Ruth and Rahab who were included in the Lord's geneology) Matt 1:5 Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse. Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said, "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Heb 11:31 By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient, after she had welcomed the spies in peace. James 2:25 In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? |
