1 | Catholics and Heaven??? | Eph 2:8 | Makarios | 11185
Howdy Insane5175! Romans 10:9,13 tells us, "that is you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" "for WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." So it doesn't matter whether you are a Catholic, Jew, Methodist, Pentecostal, whatever, if you do what is explained in Romans 10:9,13 and follow Him with all your heart, soul, and mind, then you will be saved! Being a Catholic in and of itself is not a hindrance nor a requirement to being saved and inheriting salvation. Nolan |

2 | Catholics and Heaven??? | Eph 2:8 | Searcher56 | 11238
Amen, Nolan. John 3:16-17 came to mind. Believe and you are saved, do not believe, you are not saved. You are right. The demonination doesn't matter. Tho I have talked with a Catholic priest and he did not want to give up what he had ... on the other hand I talked with a Baptist who said that he had been serving in the church for 50 years and God "better let him in." Sad to say neither man is getting in. Steve |
