1 | He betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver | 2 Cor 7:10 | Good News Man | 198633
Hello Doc. Thank you for the scriptures. I don't think we will change the way the guy thinks. He said John 6:70,71. does not make Judas a lost person. And told me to read Matthew 16:23. He said if calling Judas a devil makes him a lost soul. Peter is lost also. Then he gave me Matthew 10:33. Where Jesus said; whosoever will deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. He asked, what did Peter do in Matthew 26:69-74. His last remark was are you the judge of these two men? Because as you judge you will be judge. Thanks to you Doc and everyone the rest. God Bless. |

Hello Good News Man, Allow me to add a couple points to Doc's response. First of all, you're getting into the land of scriptural ping-pong, where it just becomes a match of verses tossed back and forth. Your friend appears to be proof-texting and ignoring any context. What's his ultimate point?; Second, there's very little stated about Judas in scripture. From what is written, does the evidence suggest his eternal disposition or not?: Judas was coveteous and called a thief- John 12:4-6 He bargained to betray Jesus- Matt.26:14-16 He's called a devil- John 6:70-71 Satan entered into him (twice)- John 13:2, 27 He apostasied- John 17:12 He betrayed the Lord- Matt. 26: 47-50 He hung himself- Matt. 27:5 (compare 2 Cor. 7:10) It was prophesied that he would do so- Ps. 41:9, 109:8, Zech. 11:12-13 A reasoned, careful study should conclude that there is simply no compelling evidence supporting Judas being saved. To say otherwise is to reason from the silence of scripture! Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

3 | He betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver | 2 Cor 7:10 | Good News Man | 198644
Thank each and everyone of you for all the help. The next time I talk to my friend. I will ask about some of the scriptures. I believe you are right about plying ping-pong with scriptures. I do see one point the man made, Jesus said to the twelve, that they would sit on twelve thrones. Judas was one of the twelve. All I want out of this is the truth. Thanks again. GNM |

4 | He betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver | 2 Cor 7:10 | stjohn | 198648
Hi GNM, Welcome to the forum! Some believe that Matthias, filled the vacancy that was left by Judas, but because of the fact that lots were drawn and God was not consulted, that Paul filled the spot because God chose Paul Himself. Regardless, the spot on the twelfth throne is indeed filled. Acts 1:26 And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles. God bless John |

Hello John, I also see Paul as the twelfth apostles, not Matthias. That would be a good point to show my friend. Thanks God Bless GNM |
