1 | Any advice to stop sexual immorality? | 2 Cor 6:14 | FRoZeNFiRe | 151049
See, but the thing is that my boyfriend is very supportive of my being Christian. We've had discussions about Christianity and he seems to be interested in it. He is very encouraging and would never force me to turn away from what I believe (otherwise I wouldn't be with him!) I'm sorry for seeming frantic...it seems that many people are discouraging me from the relationship I have with my boyfriend when that is not the advice I was seeking. Still, I'll pray that the truth be revealed. Thanks so much. |

FrozenFire: You're wasting your time looking for the truth to be revealed. God has already revealed it in His word. If you are a Christian, it's your job to accept and obey it. I hope I'm wrong, but it appears that all the biblically-based counsel that Christians on this Forum labored to give you has fallen on deaf ears. Please don't expect anyone on this Forum to sanction the life of immorality you are knowingly and deliberately leading with your boyfriend, while claiming to be a Christian. If you had no intention of changing your lifestyle, why did you bother to ask advice on a Christian Forum in the first place? Among other things, it would seem you need to grow up and face some hard facts, not only about your lifestyle but your relationship with Jesus Christ. Candid words from me? Yes, they are. But there is a time for candor, and there is a time for rebuke and correction. And isn't it about time to stop beating around the bush and call a spade a spade? You have been treatd with kindness on this Forum and the responses, while perhaps not what you wanted to hear, have been given in a loving manner and have been true to Bible teaching, the very thing you needed to hear. No Christian is going to encourage you to continue to share your bed with your boyfriend, and a Christian who lives an immoral life desperately needs to do some serious business with God. I pray that you will. --Hank
