This verse makes me think of a AMAZING book I just read called "Changed into his Image" by Jim Berg. The book is pretty much "the bible for dummies" if you'll pardon the expression. It pretty much covers the whole reason for Christianity; why we needed Jesus in the first place (our sin problem), why the flesh bothers us even after we've been saved, how God is using our circumstances to sanctify us to Him. It told me the one thing I've been missing in the Christian life; how the bible tells us who God and Jesus ARE. The book doesn't point to itself, but lies itself prostrate before Jesus and proclaims in huge, blood-bough words, "HE is the way, truth, and life. No one comes to the father except through Him." If I owned any two books, it would be the Bible and Changed into His Image. It's perfect for disciple-makers and christians, new and old. I TOTALLY recommend it, and you're missing out if you don't try to find it. I think BK publishers put it out…it reknewed my faith in God a thousand-fold. Not gonna lie. I don't think there's anything to say in response to this, so… God bless! |

Hi, Tim... I've yet to find a book by Jim Berg that I do not find a blessing. The last one I read was "Changed into His Image." Dr. Berg is always a blessing, even when he pushes your nose right up against the envelope of the true level of your self-denial. Thanks for recommending this book. In Him, Doc |
