1 | Church sound system "way too loud" | 1 Cor 13:1 | kalos | 147782 | ||
Justme: Thank you for your kind and caring reply. The man I know who has tinnitus, Lee, says that his doctor just recently advised against the use of silicone ear plugs, which he had worn for years. She recommended he stop wearing them altogether. Not only that, but Lee says that when the loudness reaches a certain level, the noise and pain comes right through the ear plugs, which are no longer effective. At a recent southern gospel music concert, he had to leave the building and hang around outside because of the extremely loud volume and the pain it caused. As for any kind of headphones or earphones, that option is out. For more than 20 years now Lee has been unable to wear earphones of any kind. Even at the lowest volume, the headphones caused ear pain. Again I thank you for your reply. I'm sorry to hear that you, too, have this condition. Grace to you, Kalos |

Kalos: I am unable to hera much of what is being said, so amplification does not cause me pain from a church sound system. However a music concert is a different story. My hearing aids are of little use except to hear paper crumble very loudly, I can hear the transmission sift very nicely, doors close, all the things that you don't really want to hear:-( The ear pulgs I refer toare like a thick foam rubber, WalMart sells them. Blessings to Lee and you. justme |
